Industry Miscellaneous Color Preferences We need to start with black on white and white on black. Our Ideas & Additional Information If our logo was a person, he would be a "guys-guy" who was also well-liked by women. He is masculine but not a "meathead," and very professional but not uptight about it. He wears designer jeans to work and operates out of a mobile office. We are leaning heavily toward a wordmark, but are also open to adding an abstract mark or character to compliment the words if the right idea is there. Final logo must have very easy to read text since it will be reproduced on tees, hats, etc. Themes SimpleGrayRefinedAdventureMasculineModern Entries Order by Ranking Entry Number Order by Ranking Entry Number 1st Josh Withdrawn 2nd tsquare Withdrawn 3rd GoodKnight Withdrawn 4th tsquare Withdrawn 5th Kevin Hughes Design Withdrawn 6th sunardi Withdrawn 7th Revotype Withdrawn 8th tsquare Withdrawn 9th special-K Withdrawn 10th greenlite Withdrawn New Josh Withdrawn New bordo Prefers others. We are looking forward to your entries. 14 years ago CF Client Solid first attempt by Husk with #1. I like how it feels clean and modern yet with a classic '50s twist. It's a bit too soft (maybe due to the cursive) for us. Also, "Studios" needs to be more readable in all submissions moving forward. Maybe try something "bolder" overall.Husk, we also really like your "The Insider" logo that won previously. 14 years ago CF Client We like the funky/disco/skateboard #7 so #1 and #7 are tied.#3 and #5 are too straight forward. We are looking for a logo that has some flair but is also clean and not too "trendy."Please don't forget to try an icon or even a character to compliment if anything comes to mind. We're very excited by your work so far! 14 years ago CF Client Good attempt by tsquare with #8 and #9. The B is too big on #9, and I like the flow of #8. Can we see how #8 looks if you replace that full circle B with the partial circle B from #9 please? And Josh, we like the simplicity and clean look of #10 but it needs to have a bit more unique style if possible.Thx! 14 years ago CF Client Wow, I'm amazed by the submissions so far and our likes/dislikes are becoming more clear. Please note:* #17 is ranked first because it works a B icon into the design. This appeals to us greatly and we'd like to see each future entry use an icon of some sort (doesn't have to be a B).* #10 is ranked a close second because it is the best concept so far and feels very clean and modern. Please come back with a different take on the font (more flair/original).* #7 is ranked a close third but the font is a bit too young/masculine in our humble opinion.* #15 is a solid attempt and ranked since we really like the sense of movement. Please try again and include an icon if possible.Thx! 14 years ago CF Client We have a new leader and it's #25 which improves the font from the previous second placer. This logo is winning the day so far because of the concept. It's simple, smart, clean, and feels/looks contemporary but not too young. The other ranked entries are also in the running for reasons detailed above, with #19 and #29 leading the second pack for their use of the b icon. I'm currently traveling in Europe and will be offline for the next 8 hours. Can't wait to check back in the morning! Thx again for all of your efforts. 14 years ago CF Client ***SPECIAL NOTE: Please use ALL CAPS for the word "BRANDING" in future submissions. Use either ALL CAPS or just a capital S for "studios." THX!***what a flurry of activity! the top five ranked entries are very close together.after much discussion, josh's #25 remains in the lead for reasons stated above but we'd like to see other fonts and even an element of movement introduced if it doesn't kill the look. for further clarity, #25 leads so far because of the concept. it's simple, smart, clean, and feels/looks contemporary but not too young. attempts to beat it need to surpass it in all of these ways.#38, #39, and #19 come from tsquare and he's close with some revisions that give us a really strong brand statement.and underfifty's first entry #53 has a ton of style and appeals to us if we can have a new pass that incorporates an icon/and or more movement.thx again for all of your work! we're nearly overwhelmed by the quality so far.cf 14 years ago CF Client Hi Designers,I'm amazed by the quality of your work. Thank you for submitting and please stay in this if any new ideas come to mind.About the new rankings:* #25 retains first place for the same reasons, though we are requesting more work to a revised pass, so this tournament isn't over yet.* #38 stays in second, but is essentially tied with #70 and #53. We'd also be thrilled with any of these but have also requested some revisions. We've ranked the rest of the top 10 as well since we think the work is so good. But these attempts are not under consideration based on our attraction to the top 4.Please shoot me a note if anyone has any questions or needs further direction. And thx again for all of your super creative, professional work to date!CF 14 years ago CF Client Hello again everyone,With 2+ days to go, we have two clear cut concepts leading the pack. #83 and #39 are nearly tied for first place with #25 and #94 close variations on both. The rest of the top 10 are also super high quality and we would have been thrilled to have them, but they are not likely to win the tournament.Josh and tsquare, please provide additional fonts for #83 and #39 respectively in the next 48 hours and we will decide the winner by Monday!Best,CF 14 years ago CF Client Hi again Designers,This is our final entry before declaring the winner. Now that Josh has come back with a more exciting and unique font, we are very please with and leaning heavily toward Josh's #102 for the same reasons that we've detailed above.Any new ideas are welcome but need to arrive in a hurry so we can give them proper consideration.Thx!CF 14 years ago
