CH, You can rank the contest however you are inclined.

Ok, we got it, you have a really bad taste but at least show some respect to the designers and rate the logos. Don't eliminate them all.
You rate the same logo 8 times!!!

You certainly have my apologies if I have done something offensive. I do not want to offend or disrespect any designer. All of the designs that I have seen have been amazing. However, even though I really like some of the designs, they could potentially limit my branding in terms of how I want my company to grow. Many of the logos with houses are awesome; however, I don't want to emphasize the house portion of the name as I intend to offer a much more diverse set of products over time.

Last but not least, this is the first time I have used this site and I don't recall a large section on standard protocol, so if there is a typical way to handle ranking it was not explained up front.

Daniel, Don't sweat that comment. I'm not sure why a designer would attack a contest holder publicly. Protocol is informal at best and ranking and feedback is completely up to the CH. This has been a good contest and the designers who have done well have figured out through ranking and interaction what you are looking for.

To CH: At the time i wrote my comment you had ranked 7 times someone's logo (with different colors), 7-8 times an other one (with different colors) and 3-4 times a third one.
When you give a designer a rank (it doesn't matter what place it is) you show him that you respect his job and his work. Instead you marked 'not interested' to all of us except 5-6 logos and the 3 of them had 6-7 variations of color.
I saw that after my first comment you ranked more people. That's good. Sorry if i was harsh on you.

To Towne & Country Design: If the contest ends right now, you will get the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place for the same logo. Do you think it's fair?

Yes it is fair. He put what he liked best in order. That is what this is all about. If you want that spot...out design him. I understand it was the same design in different colors, but he he didn't see anything he liked better. We will have to work harder.

Daniel is not going to rank those in that way at the end of the contest. He has been consistent in looking at the same logo with different colors for awhile and then moving the ones out that he ultimately doesn't like as much. If your designs get thrown out right away you should not get mad, you should realize you've gone in the wrong direction and design in a new direction or bow out. Sometimes you simply won't connect with a particular CH and that's alright.

Also, I think it might be a little early for you to be throwing your weight around on logotournament.com. Relax and enjoy the site. It's a lot of fun if you don't take it too seriously. Regards, T&CD.

Please ignore all the "rude designers" and accept our appologies...they defentely do not represent the whole group...you please focus on choosing your best logo. The behaviour of this gentleman was already adressed for further actioning.

Also, kindly keep in mind that you will need at the end of the contest to rank each place against one logo and separately for each designer.
Eg. If you have two logos different from same designer its fine to rank them together (regardless the place)..but if same logo and just colour variation is different then choose only your favorite and allow other designers to take points from being on the other ranks too..
This will help all of us to know what you like and also will help us get points even if we dont get the first price.

I don't usually treat people that way that's why i already gave my apologies to the CH to a previous post, i wished good luck to everybody and i withdrew from this contest.
We all have a bad day. At least I am honest and responsible for the things i write even when i am wrong and i don't EDIT posts (in order to look better) like many others do.
There are ''bad'' behaviors from designers and also there ''bad'' behaviors from contest holders.

I totally agree with you and that was the reason i reacted badly. Because i felt that it was not fair to the others designers. After my posts CH corrected the ranking and started to give ranking to different logos.
