We are a British-based company selling Italian handcrafted ceramics from the Sicilian tradition of pottery of Caltagirone to private customers and retailers. At a later stage we will retail other kinds of crafts from around the world. Target audiences for our business are a wide variety of people: those who are interested in style and design, but also those who simply want beautiful handcrafted objects to decorate their homes. Young professionals, families, art collectors. Although our products are sophisticated, we would like our logo to be neat and quite essential and recognisable as a design for a decal.

We already have some ideas for the logo we'd like for our brand. The company currently supplying ceramics to us is famous especially for head vases, so the logo of our brand could be a stylised/cartooned version of a head vase in profile. The name of the brand, Bonanova, could run around the drawing of the head vase if the logo is circular but I am open also to other solutions. The sketch for the logo could be in b&w or colourful, I still haven't made my mind on it. The logo could potentially display two heads in profile, one feminine and the other masculine, each recognisable by some details (earrings on the female side, moustache on the masculine side) I am sending in attachmment a few pictures of our products that could be useful as a starting point. I have included a model for a female head vase and one for a male head vase to give a rough idea of the differences between them. The first picture, displaying the head in profile, could be helpful to sort out an 'angle' for the profile we could recreate in the logo. (However, I am not sure whether I'd like the crown of the vase to appear on the logo or not). We look forward to hearing back from designers on this project.
