Our Ideas & Additional Information
Our goal is to enhance and refine an existing logo for our 100th Anniversary. We have some ideas as to how the logo might look, but would like to use a more refined and creative variation of the original logo. Our original logo consists of an oval shaped emblem with a black line image in the center shown in the attached files. The black line image of our building that should be used is attached in a separate file. The black line building image can be refined, but must keep true to the original look. The font that is used for "Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden" is Copperplate Gothic Bold. The logo should have a 1910 - 2010 date reference. We think the "ribbon" element in the sample logo could be incorporated in the design, but is not mandatory. Any additional text (Dates , Tag lines) should use a "classic" font that refers back to our 100 years. Possible text options to communicate the 100 year celebration are:

"Celebrating 100 Years",
"100 Years",
"100th Anniversary",

*Other variations of these tag lines can be used and will also be considered. If you have a better idea, we are open to suggestions.

First, everyone needs to make sure you are using the graphic of our building that I sent as an attachment:

bh-logo-3.jpg, This is the black line artwork to be used in the logo., 451KB

I think the oval versions allow for showing the complete building image without cutting off the ends, so lets keep that in mind going forward. I think the designs that we have using a circle do not allow the complete view of the building.

Remember, that we are a Beer Garden with 100 years of history, so fonts should reflect that fact. Being a Beer Garden, the use of hops, hop vines, and barley stalks could be used as design elements. One thought for the design is that it might look like a beer bottle label. Keep in mind that some of the primary uses of this logo will be for it to be printed on beer mugs and embroidered on shirts, so the size of text and other design elements should be readable at that size. Let’s try to keep the colors as simple as possible. I think we need to limit the color scheme to 3 colors. Green, gold, and black.
