Color Preferences
Probably favor Greens, Blues, Dark Purples...definitely want more than one color, or at least 2 shades of a given color. Must also transfer well to one color applications such as a black and white printer.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
You can read our mission statement here:

But disregard anything artistic you see on our website as we want something completely new. We have seen some promising concepts that create depth or dimension which seems like a good idea.

We'll want all caps for BioExpress or the mixed case as in this sentence. Space-wise I wish we could stack the Bio on the Express like #6 , but we'd confusion over whether it's one or two words so please keep together.

Like #9 in that it would work with and without the tag line. Of course, I could see simple adjustments to #4 and #1 to go without tag line or move the graphic on top.

We do want to be science/molecular, but not "atomic" looking. Concepts that might work: 2 shapes coming together for a perfect fit as would be used to illustrate a drug binding to a cell receptor, or something suggesting a double helix pattern. We don't want test tubes or beakers. Like the dimension aspect in #1. Probably need more line weight in name text than #4 currently has.

On color, I would just aim away from what number #6 has, as these seem too playful. Thanks so far!

Good helix on #57, but I've asked artist to resubmit without the separation between Bio and Express.

Simple designs are appreciated, too.

Please don't withdrawal any designs during judging.....especially those that haven't been ranked.

We will. Decision started to go more "committee" than originally planned.

It is best that a single person will decide on the final logo. I see already the "committee" rejected some good designs and left some that are quite bad.

Good luck on deciding and choosing the best design for your company!

Please excuse the extension. A few designers have indicated they had some designs already in the works. We welcome the opportunity to look at them.

The initial designs, while compelling, seemed to bias the later submissions towards similar concepts. We feel the current front runner stands out and is poised to be declared the winner, but we didn't have a lot of this kind of independent direction to compare this too. We hope that we will get some additional unique designs to consider....either solidifying our current front runner, or satisfying us in a way that we have yet to see.

Please stay away from light purple/pink colors.

Thanks.

We've had problems with a logo in the past (for a brand, not our company) where a letter wasreplaced with a graphical element, but this led to some customers difficulty...so unless the letter is still very obvious, don't risk replacing letters. Thank you.

Please consider choosing a simple and effective logo design, not full with effects that distract attention from the logo and your company.
