Here are some variations of the concept I have designed. I believe it represents the bands in gel in a modern way. Using bold colours that are still modest and professional.
Nice start. I'm liking #47 at first glance. Can you adjust so that the band pattern is truncated above the right S. I love everything to the left of that, as if this pattern is unrolling from an origin in the distance and expanding to the foreground about to flow into the letters, including BIO?
I like the BioExpress font colors in 43-45 and the 46 tagline style.
I'm perceiving the blue as the bands (but the case could be made the green are the bands). Can the gel pattern then, be two shades of blue (and of course white) Green portions probably just go white, and then the two shades of blue feed into there respective colors of BIO and EXPRESS. The slight gray drop shadow should work, too.
I hope I did this right, but I put some of your redundant designs in the Not interested, just because they were redundant...not because I didn't like them. I think they just had ever so slight variations like the tagline and I put the favored ones in the ranking. If I'm wrong about the variations, please let me know in order to reconsider. Thanks.
Looking again...maybe I shouldn't say truncate, but rather move the end to the top right of the S rather than the bottom right. Also the second blue column has a vertical strip that diminishes the individual band concept so if you could remove I think that we'll prove helpful.
I'm thinking 10 columns of bands, 3 of one color aligning to the BIO and 7 to EXPRESS...all with your "genie-unbottling" effect.
Bands traveling further from the distant origin becoming more stretched than those in the middle.
It reminds me a little bit of the numbers streaming down the walls and across surfaces in the movie, "The Matrix" except we're using bands instead of numbers. By the time the bands reach the letters everything should be pretty flattened to the plane.
It might need all columns originating from the same distance point versus now where some columns start along the way.
