Note: We'd rather have "Beanilla" be branded as the focal point of the Logo rather than "Beanilla Trading Co." ... ie. Beanilla - Gourmet Vanilla OR Beanilla - Premium Vanilla, etc.

Hey Beanilla, just wondering what you don't like about your current logo?

Well, I don’t necessarily dislike our current logo. I actually designed it and it was my first attempt at any sort of logo design. I believe that it looks rather “Amateurish” and I am looking for a more professional, sleek, brandable logo. This logo is difficult to use for print or business cards. I am looking for something that is sleek, with minimal colors (for print and product labels in a retail market). I really want to represent Beanilla as a Brand of Vanilla – so that is only why I suggested the use of vanilla beans or vanilla orchids in the logo. This is not a limitation and if there is anything that anyone can dream up to represent us as a Vanilla company or brand, then please do so.

So far, I love a lot of these submissions and feel that this is going to be very close.

FYI... I am willing to redesign the entire color scheme of www.beanilla.com to match the logo if I have to. I know it is hard to create a logo with the Brown background. I like the colors of #21 and #20. I am not particularly fond of the font of #21, even though I like the orchid with vanilla beans. I like the styles of #21 and #20 - Simple, Sleek and Professional. I like the idea of the Vanilla Beans and Orchid looking "drawn" rather than a filter over top of a real Orchid (like I did with my big Orchid/Vanilla Beans Image on www.beanilla.com). I like #15 for it is different than what I had in mind, but I can envision it on Retail packages.

Font is very important.

We Decided that we would like to include the slogan "Premium Vanilla" Rather than "Gourmet Vanilla"

Perhaps the Magnolia Flower can be modified into the Vanilla Orchid or some resemblance?

Completely Unexpected but we like it #2. It seems very "Retro". Still thinking of color scheme ideas and ways to incorporate colors into existing colors of website and product labels. Great submission!

If this means anything to others designers, please keep in mind that we are open to ANYTHING. However you think a VANILLA company could best be represented, please submit your logos.

Note to Contestants:

Please do not become discouraged by the Rankings. I am doing this to help you see preferences. There are just soo many logos that I like, which makes it very hard to put a "rank" on any one of these. In the next couple of days, I will be meeting with a group of four others to actually start narrowing down the number one logo. There is alot to be discussed for some of the logos that I like will not work with the existing "Theme" of the website. There is a lot to take into consideration here.

All I can say is that I am impressed with all of these submissions and please keep up the amazing work!

Note to Contestants:

We have been contemplating some of these logos and are curious to see some more Simplistic Logo's (less colors and Less Detail)

We would like to see some logos that work equally well in color and have a matching B&W counterpart and would look nice on Print and Labels. For Example #105 and #104 use Less colors but #105 might have a little too much detail.

Secondly, we are not necessarily stuck on the idea of having VANILLA BEANS or the VANILLA ORCHID in the logo. We hope that the Brand "Beanilla" can be recognized by others by the "Premium Vanilla" Slogan. WE ARE COMPLETELY OPEN TO ANY LOGO IDEA and are interested to see what you can come up with.

A contestant recently made the comment that we should let the name of of our company be the focal point and brand. Without having the clutter of Vanilla Beans or Orchids. The fact that Vanilla is commonly used to describe "Plain" might be able to be conveyed in our logo. I am a fan of fonts (not too crazy) and I am learning a lot about what it is that I like in a logo. Considering that there are 6 days left in the contest I would like to request more "Vanilla" logos - Simple but Powerful. Our brand should say it all.

I know that all of you are working very hard and are putting in a lot of time in on our logo's and designs. Don't let this comment discourage you and assume that all of your time spent was wasted. I am not asking you to just spell out our company with a font - It has to be the right font, the right layout, perhaps with simple lines/vectors, etc. Those who might be weak in designing our logo with Orchids and Vanilla Beans might shine with a simplistic, elegant design.... Beanilla - Premium Vanilla

Again, all logos with or without the vanilla beans or orchids is still being considered.

We really didn't see any "Simple" submissions after our last post. I know that there are a couple of days left and hope some of you would be willing to submit more simple logos (without vanilla beans or orchids). We like many types of fonts, script, unique, etc.

Essentially we are looking to see some exampls of "Wordmarks".
