I like the changes so far, now I am curious to see two variation which I am no so sure how easy it will be.
1.) I would like to see the words "Beanilla" in #105 in another Font Style
2.) I am curious to see what the entire logo would look like with just the Orchid centered above Beanilla. I know that this was hand illustrated, but I am curious to see if you have a way to remove everything except the Orchid. My only concern is that when we try to print this logo on smaller labels, a lot of the detail will be lost.
Hi - thanks for the feedback. I totally understand your concerns of visibility at small size. I'm submitting two slight variations at smaller size to give you a better idea as to what could be done. On one I've lightened the line weight (making the strokes of each line thinner) to that it doesn't jumble together when printed small. On the other I've removed some of the linework used as texture in the orchid petal. I left the texture on the beans because - even it if fills in 100%, I believe the consumer will still understand it's a vanilla bean by the shape/color. (although - I think most printers would be able to hold at least some of the detail/texture).
The third submission is the orchid only with a more simple "frame".
Each of these three logos have a different font that could be used as a mix-and-match type of thing.
Lastly - please know that if you were to select the previous logo that you were worried about visibility ( #105 for example) I would include the "small print" versions (either the lighter weight or the minimalized line work or both) as part of that logo (since they are basically the same logo)
two more ideas - one being a simplified outline of the flower with two crossed beans - all one color and can shrink to TINY and still be identifiable. The other is just a B with the vertical stroke of the B made from a bean.
I used a standard serif font (sort of "plain vanilla" in itself) but tried to blend some of the characters together - either with ligatures or otherwise - to increase legibility/flow, but also add some character.
No problem at all! Here are 5 variations using the background color of your website. Again - if selected - the logo could (if you wanted them) include the variation to fit on light backgrounds as well as one on your website background. (and also a black/white version of course :) ) If there's anything else you'd like to see, just ask.
thought I'd try something different/more simple. I used an asterisk to represent the orchid - both have 5 "petals" - I thought it was a simple way to associate something "commonplace" with "vanilla" The overlook look is more modern, but not "tech-y"
