Australisian 2012 ConventionLogo Design Contest

Hello all designers.

Looking for a logo for a convention to be held in Sydney next year. I'd like the logo to feature / be built around an iconic image from Sydney to link the meeting to the location and hotel venue.

Logo will be used in several formats including web, print, power point and large banners. A simpler version will used for screen printing and t-shirts, etc.

I'd prefer an odd shape to the logo background, rather than a circle or rectangle.

The logo needs a layered build and feel to it, to convey strength and quality.

The dates of the convention are March 16-18, 2012..

The by-line for the convention is "We're On A Roll!" - which we've selected as it prefects describes our business growth and energy. This by-line needs to be the hero text, and layered around / over the image in such a way as to convert the excitement of the statement.

Convention date and location text needs to be secondary to hero text.

Hello again to all designers.

Three days in and I'm not seeing design results to the standard I'd like.

Any other ideas out there that are not based on the Opera House? What about the Harbour Bridge?

The Convention is being held at the Sydney Convention Centre. Here is the link to their web page, perhaps it will spark some more ideas.

Happy to consider a 'photograph background with text' type of image if that sparks a different direction.

This contest will be extended till Friday. The client is a multi repeat customer. Some extra consideration has been given him in this case.

My thanks to all who submitted designers - another great result.

Of note, we were quite happy to run with either of the top two designs - and it was only a whisker between them.
