Our Ideas & Additional Information
I have posted to my website a page dedicated to this tourney.
http://www.assuresol.com/logotourn.html

In 2007 I created my company logo, and would possiably like to keep the concept of the "S" with the elyptical arrows surrounding the company name, and feel it needs a professional cleanup. However, I am open to new suggestions and new designs that may convey my brand better...just kinda partial to my original design.

#1 Monto, thanks for the quick posting. I do like the color choices. I would like to see what you can do to take my exisiting logo to the next level. Please check out http://www.assuresol.com/logotourn.html

You can see and download my existing logo and give me some professional cleanup and maybe give some depth to the flatness of my design.

Thanks again.

#4 Ideaz, I am not in love with the concept yet, but it does stand out from the current entries. I like the depth created by the spotlighting and raised grey border. However, can we flatten at border out and give some lift to the "S" and elipical arrows. I think that the same can be said for #8 and #6. Maybe an effect similar to what I found here:

Thanks

#2 #3 Beginer. I think you have a good idea there with a play on the initials, but not for my company concept. My partner and I think it would be good for and investment banker or insurance company (just some helpful feedback). Alot of strength and I feel an abstract dollar sign in the logo on #2.

Hi CH:
Just wondering, are you going to stick with the current font? Thanks!

Aremmai, I am open to new ideas on font types. If you were to ask me what fot I used in the original I could not tell you...I need to purchase the Photoshop to open the .psd

#10 Auto - Your enhacements to the original design are good. I would like to see some depth created somewhere. Colors are good, not great. We can get to the color part with the design part out of the way.

Thanks,
Ryan

Dump the old logo. You need an entirely new logo.

KN, I am open to a new logo concept alltogether. I stated this in my contest description. I have one main issue with an abstract design like #1:

I can all but never verify the uniqueness of the logo.

This is troubling for me, since I am going to be investing in my company to grow and would like for this to be the last time I go through this exercise for quite a few years.

I am going to be partial to my and modifications to my existing logo, since it is word based. It also portrays a process and solution.

Thanks,
Ryan

#21 Definitely keener on this idea on an "abstract" logo using the company initials. The form of the letters makes sense to me.

I do like the fonts used in the company name and tagline. However, they are curved and the logo has sharp points. I don't think the two look right together. I am certain that I do not like the cursor arrow. Maybe a little too cliche.

Thanks for you sumbission, if you think you can go on my suggestions here I would like to see your idea,

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the feedback. I'll work on that.

Designers, thanks to all for your work and submissions. I was going though submissions moved many of them over to the "Not Interested" side. I did this to keep things less cluttered. Some of your sumbissions were quite good, but you either submitted changes and/or there was color issues or they were not going to make it up against the current high rankings.

I was going to make specific feedback about now on some of the entries. I have a newborn here at home and did not get to it, before some of the sumittals were withdrawn. I apologize for doing the not interested before giving feedback.

Thanks again.

#30. What can be done to see the file without the spot highlight? I know it adds some flair to the logo. I think on the smaller scale it distracts me from seeing the detail...also do you think a new font (inside) would work in this logo style? Seems to me the scale is a bit out-of-whack now with the full border. Thoughts?

#31 & #32 I have a horriable company name huh? Somehow many of my attempts ended up screaming "ASS" even though it is just AS (initials, but ass--- to start off). We all got to get our minds out of the gutter...or is that just me? If I am going to have AS in the logo design it almost has to be offset JUST RIGHT or abstract like #21

Hello all designers. Sorry for the delay on getting some rankings and feedback out. I will get to it shortly. I most likely will not get to everyone, but will try.

As for rankings, I would like to include at least one design from each designer...if not a few if they are completely different concepts altogether. My final rankings will be only one page in length. This way people like myself looking at the completed contest will see only the "top" in consideration.

In general:
Many of you have had some wonderful ideas. Some are a very good looking and woudl look awesome for another client where it makes more sense for their message.

My wife and I have enjoyed this process and the logotournament community on pushing out company forward, instead of just looking back.

A sincere thank you from both of us.

Another note,
Thank you to those who have made modifications to my "existing" logo. In oder to make room for all of the great new logo designs, I am going to move them all over to the "not interested" list.

Congratulations baiskee! I really liked your concept from the start...and the revisions made it even better. As for the 2nd and 3rd place, I messed up and closed the contest before changing #128 out of second. I have asked the administrators that baiskee's #128 design be moved down to 6th. Just because I believe that proper stand out kudos should be given to multiple designers. I have asked that #134 be given silver, and #37 bronze. #42 was pretty much a tie for third...but I had to pick someone.

As for why one design stood out as the winner to me, is better than me pointing out why I did not choose other designs as the winner. I believe the simplicity of the abstract "AS" utilizing equalateral triangle angles really stood out to me. I believe that triangles are proven and are quite pleasing to the eye. The feedback I recieved from colleagues was very positive on this one.

I am quite impressed with this community on a whole. You all have given more than one would expect for the investment. I would continue, and already have recommeded this site to a few fellow business owners.

I understand that each of you owns your design concept. I ask of you however, to not include the tagline in your portfolio design (off of logotournament.com). Company name is fine for now...the tagline is part of my current "common law" trademark claim, and would rather not have to explain to the lawyers down the line why it keeps showing up in all these logos! :)

Thank you so much all! Great working with you. I kind of have a feeling this is my new baby!

Sincerely,
Ryan L.
