What We Do
Animal Justice Fund is a non-profit organization that works to save animal's lives by allowing lawyers to defend the animal in court. It also works to prosecute people who have hurt animals in the past. For example, if a dog bites someone and is in danger of being put to sleep, the Animal Justice Fund will work to give the dog training and a second chance.
Industry
Non-Profit
Color Preferences
Orange, Green and White will be website colors, but we also like blue, purple, yellow, and brown. Animals in the logo can be any natural color, but please try to avoid red when possible.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Some initial ideas are a dog holding a judge's gavel, or something with an animal (or animals) with the scales of justice.

We like cartoons and animated characters.

We would also love to see animals with any other symbols that are typically associated with law. Maybe search google images for ideas with the gavel or the scales of justice.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for the Designers' hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Just a thought, but could we possibly use the scales of justice or the gavel in the actual wording? Maybe the scales as the "M" in animal or "T" in Justice, or the gavel as the "T" in justice. If you can make it work, I would love to see it.

I just posted a picture in the contest brief from google images, we would love to see some logos with the same concept.

We would also like to see some designs that have more than one animal in the logo. Possibly multiple animals above the wording, but could really be done in any way that works. Thanks!

And we would like to see some designs with other animals holding a judge's gavel. Could be almost any animal, but try to keep it cute.

We prefer animals that look more realistic than cartoony.

I would like to see some more logos that look similar to the picture attached in the contest brief. It should have a very realistic, very cute looking dog holding the gavel, along with the wording. We're not set on that idea, so please don't feel boxed in. Feel free to be as creative as possible and bring up as many new ideas as possible. That is just one idea that we would like to see more of. Thanks

We want a very dignified logo that will be taken seriously, but that is also touching and appeals to animal lovers. The justice idea should be there but in a welcoming and friendly way. We´re trying to get to normal people, with feelings for animals, and who see us as a legitimate fund that will do the right things with their money. Let me know if you have any questions.

The decision maker for this logo wants something that is very professional, very serious and very sophisticated looking. Please try some modern ideas/looks that don't have to come from previously submitted concepts.

We're leaning away from the law/justice aspect. So, please feel free to submit logos that do not have a gavel or scales of justice. Make it more designed towards animal lovers and non-profit ideas than the lawyer angle. But please keep it very professional.

Just some thoughts...

Think about the warm feeling you get when you save an animal from an animal shelter. You probably want to evoke some sense of ‘help’ or compassion or warm loving feeling that a pet gives you. But please keep it very professional.

Ideas…
A silhouette of a person holding their dog like a baby in their arms
Dog running through a doorway to ‘the light’ (as to be freed from prison)
A dog reuniting with its owner (could be depicted in many different ways.
