Is your company still producing jets, and is it going to produce car engines now? Should we design around car engines, or around jet engines?

The company will produce electric generator sets for electrically powered cars. However, the logo just needs to capture the "turbine" element of the gas turbine engine that powers the generator. This is to make a differentiation from conventional piston engines.

Wow, I've been impressed with the submissions and fast responses from you all. As you can see, there is a theme going with a "turbine" type of logo which we want to pursue. There is still some work to do, but there are quite a few idea's on the go here.

For an alternative approach, could someone have a look a something abstract? In our old, current, logo, we had two concentric arrows (at the time, the idea was based on flight) and nothing to do with the turbine as such. Does anybody have any ideas?

To all designers, thanks for your submissions so far. We've been impressed with the diversity, enthusiasm and quality. I think we have sufficient options on the "turbine" logo concepts now. It would be greatly appreciated if we could have some new options based on variations and new thougths on our current design. Many thanks
