Can you try and give the logo a little more of a turbine feel (rather than a "helicoptor rotor")? I quite like the implied "motion" with the logo. Think of what you see when you look inside a jumbo jet engine (but not too complicated), we want to keep a simple, clean distinctive look - implied corporate image. 15 years ago philipl Client #3, I like the reversed colour background as an option. Not sure how we'd use this on printed media though? 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Revised icon as requested.(This comment references Entry #12) 15 years ago philipl Client #12, Getting close, you've obviously done your work looking at gas turbines. What you've shown is what's called a centrifugal compressor blade. We produce axial flow compressors in our gas turbines. A Google search will probably give you a quick explanation on the difference. (also there's a pic on our website) 15 years ago philipl Client #1, Could you try one of these with 8 blades as opposed to the 4 blade version on #1? 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer 8 blades kind of looks like a 'flower' as well. Slanted the text a bit for more movement.(This comment references Entry #22) 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer New icon.(This comment references Entry #28) 15 years ago philipl Client #22, great try, but doesn't quite work for us, #28 much more like it 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Thanks for the feedback Philip, anything else you would like me to try just let me know. 15 years ago philipl Client #3, See previous comments on this design, the only issue is the blue background. I personally like it, but can't see how to use in in print media. 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer You could use it this way, with a colored box around the logo that always appears as the background of the logo. Or the logo could be just white text and colored icon with NO box behind it, and you can place it on any color you want.If you chose my logo I am required to give you a few versions of it anyways, so we could have the "on a white background version" and the "on a colored background version", etc. for various purposes.(This comment references Entry #38) 15 years ago philipl Client #38, Good idea, nice try. Lets leave as is for the timebeing and I'll leave it "ranked" 15 years ago philipl Client #12, I've dropped this one now, as we prefer the other interpretations of the turbine blades 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer New shape on the left.(This comment references Entry #107) 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer In the last hours of your contest, let me know if there is anything else I can do. Thank you for working with me.MatthewGoNorth Design, Inc. 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Sharper font, sharper center to the flower/engine design.(This comment references Entry #180) 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Took my swoosh and removed the flower and put it all behind the text, larger.Change the font on "Bladon" to a greener green, and elongated all the text slightly.(This comment references Entry #183) 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Flower added back in to see what it would look like.(This comment references Entry #184) 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Tighter swooshes and J.(This comment references Entry #185) 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Icon added where the "O" was.(This comment references Entry #188) 15 years ago GoNorth Logo Designer Alrighty then ;) 15 years ago
