Our Mission: If you fish, you have at least one; that "go to" fly you turn to when the day is a little slow, when you need one more fish, when the last one was not quite big enough or when that big brown in the riffles behind that large boulder just won't take anything else. The drive, mission and objective of Flies You Trust is to provide quality flies and fly fishing gear at tremendous values. We offer a limited selection. We keep the selection limited but focused on those "go to" flies, consumable items and essential gear, the kind of stuff you never go to the river without. The flies and items you find on our site represent product we believe belongs in every fly vest, pouch, waders or pack to ever venture onto trout waters!
I like the simplicity of design but would also like to see what true to life shape and color look like in a design, so, incorporating a rainbow trout, a brown trout, a realistic looking fly. Maybe framing in with a river without getting away from simplicity by getting busy...
How do we get a color and shape correct graphic of a rainbow or brown trout incorporated into this logo without it becoming too busy? does Flies You Trust become part of the fish, with a head and tail? How can we make sure the text is still readable. I like what I see so far and would like to see a fish incorporated, maybe water as well - while still keeping it clean.
I like the 1st and 2nd ranked designs. I am torn between the two right now and could end up with either, depending on some tweeks and minor adjustments. Still looking for additional creativity around a fish and possible water. The fish on #6 is good shape and color but does not really integrate itself into the logo.
