"Elephant In the Room" refers to a problem that everyone knows very well but no one talks about because it is taboo, embarrassing, etc.

Elephant in the room is something that cannot be ignored.

ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM-

A very large issue that everyone is acutely aware of, but nobody wants to talk about. Perhaps a sore spot, perhaps politically incorrect, or perhaps a political hot potato, it's something that no one wants to touch with a ten foot pole. Sometimes pink elephant in the room.

Elephants in the room helps young people aged 12-25 who are going through a tough time, providing support for problems like depression, anxiety, bullying and body image.

Elephants in the room provides information about the burden and onset, risk factors, assessment and treatment, for common mental health issues in young people. On our website, people will be able to download evidence summaries, mythbusters or assessment tools as well as existing research about prevention and treatment of mental health and substance use issues in young people.
