Arncliffe Aurora Football Club Inc was established in 1991 by local members of the community to promote a social sporting environment for the youth of Arncliffe and its surrounds in the Bayside Council area.
The vision of the founding members reflects the ‘Fajr’ spirit of many of our communities' local members and immigrants.
The word “Fajr” or Aurora, is the Arabic word defined as the rising of the sun, reflecting the birth of new opportunities and the blue sky, representing limitless ambition, hence the yellow and navy strip of Arncliffe Aurora.
This spirit is a key ethos of Arncliffe Aurora’s mission to foster and nurture a new generation of youth by achieving their footballing objectives in a warm and friendly environment.
We have grown from the original five established teams in 1991 with 75 registered players, to fielding over 40 teams ranging from U6s to Premier League with more than 700 registered players.
Today we have players, managers and committee members of various backgrounds believing and contributing to the Aurora spirit.
We are immensely proud of our history, but also celebrate our position within our community and within the wider Australian society.
We are eternally grateful to all those that have contributed to the success of the club through their passion, commitment and ongoing support.

RosCamán
This is a volunteer organisation in Ireland based on the great game that is called Hurling. Hurling is the fastest field sport in the world and is part of the GAA organisation ( Gaelic Athletic Association). RosCamán is a new Hurling Committee setup in County Roscommon in Ireland. Ros is short for Roscommon and Camán is the Irish Gaelic meaning for the word Hurl or ofetn called Hurley. It is a wooden stick that is used by the 15 players on each team when playing the game of Hurling. A sliotar or often called sliothar is the ball that is used to play the sport of hurling and is similar to a cricket ball. You need to research the images for hurling, a hurl, a hurling helmet and a sliotar to make sure you design the logo in the right way. The Roscommon colours are blue and yellow and this is key for the logo also. Each player also has to wear a hurling helmet similar to the type of helmets that are used in American football, slightly different. Our audience is our Hurling fanbase in Roscommon and other parts of Ireland. I would suggest that the word RosCamán is key. Maybe used a Hurl image for the letter C and a hurling helmet in the letter o or for the letters a and á or something light that. The audience is targeted at children and our moto is "A Hurl in Every Hand". In other words RosCamán want all children in Roscommon to be able to play the game of Hurling. So having two or more children playing hurling with a sliotar and a helmet each on is key also. Please note there is a band on the end of the hurl in ireland also. Its a metal band near the end of the hurl to protect the hurl from breaking. So the new RosCamán logo should consist of at least 2 hurl's a sliotar, children playing hurling with a sliotar.
