Avalon Acres is a farm in rural Maine that specializes in creating sacred experiences for people by offering a wide range of programs and events such as forest bathing, vision quests, fire ceremony, and medicine walks. We also offer educational opportunities to learn about the ecology of the landscape, hula hoop and yoga classes and have an event studio for readings and small bands. We also offer a farm share that includes not only fresh veggies but homemade goods such as sauerkraut and pickles. 'Avalon' means 'isle of apples' and we also have a small apple orchard with about twenty trees. It is difficult to pick an "industry" (below) as our business does blend many of your selections together. It's Education as well as Entertainment, and a certain amount of Religion--although of the very Earthy kind! I'm going to select 'Education'

We are a podcast about DJs and nightlife culture. We aim to have a diverse audience made up of DJs and other nightlife participants (such as dancers, club/venue owners, bartenders, bouncers, etc.). "Between the decks" is a reference to the audio mixer, which is usually positioned between the decks (i.e. turntables, jog wheels, etc.). Truth Integrative Medicine, PLLC is a functional medicine clinic, formerly Truth Wellness Center, PLLC. I created another clinic because I am getting out of network with insurance companies and will only take cash for services now. Please search www.truthwellnesscenter.com. I'm the same clinic, but have a different name. Want a fresh logo as well. Fresh start. Functional Medicine helps patients find the "core" of their health problems. We do not just "throw medicines at the signs and symptoms," rather, we want to help patients find the root cause of their illnesses and treat them at that level. When the root cause is treated, the signs and symptoms begin to dissipate over time. We use integrative medicine to treat patients...which means, we can prescribe medicines if needed and can prescribe herbal treatments as well. We think outside the box. We spend a lot of time with our patients, rather than "herding" them in and out of the clinic. We try to understand every facet of what's going on with them so we can understand better what may be causing their illness. We do deal with a lot of environmentally toxic patients: Mold toxicity, heavy metal toxicity, pesticides and insecticide toxicity, and more. We offer labs to help prove this that have never before been offered to them....usually because most providers don't know about these labs and because their health insurance companies will not pay for them. Insurances typically consider these labs...."not medically necessary".....however....the results are worth their weight in gold. Typically health insurance companies do not want to pay for labs like these because they would rather see the patient stay sick and feel like they are forced to pay for health insurance to help them figure out what is wrong with them and help to manage their exorbitant costs for managing their health care. Target audience....those that have chronic fatigue...chronic multi-symptom illnesses that no other provider can seem to figure out how to manage except to continue to throw medicines at their signs and symptoms. One of my mentors, and functional medicine colleagues at Carpathia Collaborative in Dallas, Tx said it best....the patients that come our way have "mysterious illnesses." So....the chronic fatigue, maybe even environmentally toxic patient, is the typical patient that walks in my door. However, I do a lot of specialty work with hormones and thyroid and weight loss. Autoimmune patients, as well, but these are typically environmentally toxic patients. Think of wellness...food first approach to helping heal patients....teaching patients how to get back control of their health by helping them create a well rounded/healthy lifestyle.....better nutrition/better handling stress/regular exercise/adequate fluid intake/finding time to get their "qui" back. That's Truth Integrative Medicine, PLLC. And....last but not least....We also do a lot of IV Nutritional Therapy. This is great for chronic fatigue, nutritional deficiencies secondary to malabsorption issues in the gut, gastric by-pass, and more. We also do some IV Nutritional Therapy to boost the immune system and for anti-aging. One other thing that may help.....I am double board certified....one certification is Family Nurse Practitioner. The other certification is American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioner.
