Protect CRV is a trade association for recycling centers that specialize in redeeming the deposits paid by the public on beverages they purchase in bottles and cans. We want to appeal to these centers and attract them as members by also attracting the general public and educating them about the importance of recycling. Redemption centers are different from curbside pick up. Images of trucks picking up recycling bins are not a proper representation of who we are. Our members are small independent businesses who interact directly with the public when they bring their bottles and cans in to get their nickels and dimes back. Often times nonprofit groups like churches or the boyscouts will collect and redeem bottles and cans to earn money. We also serve society's most vulnerable like single parents and sometimes those down on their luck who need a way to earn some extra money by redeeming bottles and cans for the deposit. Finally, we wish to convey that recycling in California is important and that protecting our earth is critical for our future. Recycling is an important way to address climate change and preserve our planet for the coming generations.
