Industry Retail Color Preferences We don't want to use anything that looks too "stuffy" or overly sophisticated. The colors pallet should be friendly, modern and playful. But we are not tied to any particular pallet. Our Ideas & Additional Information Keep in mind that this logo should NOT look like a "mom-n-pop" pet store with "clip art." We need to present a brand that someone "should" know. When they see it, we want them to think they may have heard of it before and be on par with other nationally recognized brands - PetSmart, Pet Co, etc. Themes Colorful Entries Order by Ranking Entry Number Order by Ranking Entry Number 1st Baco 2nd NancyCarterDesign 3rd Melinda 4th eyefibre 5th nejikun Withdrawn 6th dallas Withdrawn 7th Brendan 8th DesignLab Withdrawn 9th DeadSchool 10th DesignLab Withdrawn New eyefibre Withdrawn New doncorvair Prefers others. saibo Prefers others. saibo Prefers others. saibo Prefers others. js87 Prefers others. artr Prefers others. It has a fun, creative "big box" feel because of the typeface used and the outer stroke. I like it as well because it's easy to read.#2 has some good points, but is too difficult to read. The "B" is very difficult to make out and looks like it could be an "E." And you cannot tell if the final "O" is a letter or a mark. Many of the other submissions look too "techie" with the slender typeface (#5, etc.). 14 years ago pwilber Client I like the "b" in #14 and #15 better now. However, the placement of the letters do not look like "Zoombo" makes one word. I do not want "Zoo" separated from the rest of the name.I like #13 much better than previous submissions, but I do not like the way the "b" and "t" are connected. It looks like you're using the same font as #11 for both "Zoombo" and "Pets." I'd like to see some other ideas as well. My concern is that if we change the font for "Pets" it will have too much going on - with the eyes in the "O's," the magnifying glass, the ".com" bubble, etc. I think we need to drop the ".com" from the logo. I don't want to see that in any of the designs.#11 - I'm not sure what's going on with the dots under the word "Pets." And I'd like to see the design with a yellow final "O." Also, the paw prints (circles) are all the same size perfect circles. Can we see a little variation maybe in the middle print and see them a "little" more oval. 14 years ago pwilber Client #11 - The logo looks like a little "flat." Can we add something - a gradient or highlight line or something across the Zoombo to give it a little more dimension. Thanks! 14 years ago pwilber Client #19 - I like the new typeface. I think the white text may all bleed together. Can we see it with some other color combinations, but it does not need to have any bright gradients like #18 - maybe just a color (maybe subtle gradient?) on the Zoombo. You might want to try a golden/yellow like in #11. Also, the magnifying glass looks a little "flat."#20 - Not sure about those toes. I kind-of liked the idea in the toes on #2. 14 years ago pwilber Client We would really like to see some submissions not based on the existing designs. We like #11 because of the simplicity and creativity in the "O's" and paw, but we'd like to see some other examples that are not based on the current layouts.Imagine walking up to a bigbox storefront and walking under this 10" tall logo on the front of the building. It should be fun, creative, and simple to recognize. Although the primarily application is the web, it should have an established brick-n-mortar feelThanks!! 14 years ago pwilber Client We've narrowed this down to two different directions for the creative. Here are the tweaks we'd like to see:We like the paw on #29, but as stated previously you cannot tell it's supposed to be a letter. We'd like to see if there's a way to add an "O" and somehow incorporate the paw print into the design - either have the paw behind the "O" or somewhere else in the logo - possibly beside the word "Pets."And we like the playfulness and style of #43. It seems to combine the best of some of the larger, national brands in the typeface used and the use of the pets. Integrating the pets into the logo was very creative. We'd like to see some variation in the Pets font. 14 years ago
