Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - Trust
#2 - Professionalism
#3 - Modern
Our Target Audience:
Although the target market is typically in challenging situations, we do not want this reflected in the logo. Rather, the logo should be elegant and trustworthy, converying professionalism.
Color Preferences
The website will be white background with grey lines, so colour is wide open. That said, the more trusting colours: ONE of Green, blue, brown - with appropriate use of complimentary colour - are preferred.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Please do NOT use stereotypical imagery in this logo - we want the logo to be fresh, original, and classy.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Hello designers, please remember the following important principles before designing a logo:
- We don't want the logo to look tacky, stereotypical, or busy. There is far too much of this in our market. It's bad enough that the name sounds a bit tacky, so we really want the logo to show professionalism. - Imagine that we're a software company or a web 2.0 company, how would you design the logo then?
If you were to rank the entries, that will really help us to determine what you are looking for - for instance, are you leaning more towards a certain entry or another...
Hello designers, most of what is ending up in the "not interested" column is because of stereotypes that we want to avoid. Again, my best advice to be successful in this contest is to focus on crisp, elegant design, help us break out from the cliche, so we can appeal to the broadest market possible. Think slick, Web 2.0 or software company crispness; or design the logo as if we were something different, like a web design company.
Here's an example of a car company which broke out of the mold with crisp imaging: http://www.zipcar.com/
One other general piece of feedback - I see many designers using blue and green together. Please use just one or the other, along with any other complimentary colours that you see appropriate. We are not locked in to a particular colour - feel free to experiment with others, or be more colourful! Break out of the mould! ;)
Another thing to bring to light - best not to highlight the number 4 - we do not really want that number 4 to be a centrepiece of the logo, even though it is a part of the name. (Incidentally, the client owns both yourcar4cash.ca and yourcarforcash.ca.)
The number 4 is really meaningless to the consumer; what is meaningful? How can you bring an interesting yet trustworthy spin to our message via the logo? Because THAT is what we are looking for!
When I've mentioned moving towards more of a software/web/futuristic look, I finally found a good example of what I mean. Take a look at this other contest: http://logotournament.com/contests/xenex_healthcare_services - that kind of look is what we want to bring to this kind of venture. Yes, really! We really want to look completely different. ;)
