Tattoo and fairground art colourways

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

We're fairly fixed on the idea of a tattoo type emblem - but not literally a tattoo. The centre of the logo should be a heart emblem and our name "Yeah Love" should feature in a scroll of some sort. We want it to be incredibly busy and colourful. Additional graphic imagery could include - wings, swallows, skulls, swords/daggers, roses, cupids, clouds, sun etc etc. Here a couple of useful links - I love the fancy borderwork on the fairground rides pictured:

I plan to animated the finished logo in AE - so it's worth bearing in mind that any background part of the logo that maybe obstructed by a foreground element maybe visible once placed as a 3D layer in After Effects.

Would you accept 3Dmax files?

Hi Mare - are you thinking of animating the logo or creating the logo in 3D? If the latter, could you not output the final Max file to layered PNGs?

I was thinkin creating the logo in 3Dmax since you will later make an animation with it and i just love max shades! Yes i can output it in png.

Hi Mare - that sounds just the ticket - the logo lends itself to 3D - I was thinking along those lines myself. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I would stick to Vector illo file. It makes more sense
The renders would have to be still large enough for print.
They would still be flat rastor to be composited in the same way as an imported illo file.
The still lends itself to illustrator artwork plus the the time spent modeling would be better spent making the design more lavish.
I see the style animated like a Terry Gilliam animation with a bit more 3d rotoscoping from after effects.
Mare you would still have to render out front views of the artwork any angling would be limiting to the perspective of compositing in after effects. ie an isometric render would always be isometric.
