re: #51 and #49 - not as crazy about the curved bottom - would like to see more with the name out to the side like 51. I know colors are an easy swap, so I won't request any color revisions at this point -

thanks! these are great!

Thanks, graphicbrad. #101 is a bit too busy / cluttered. #102 is nice - thanks for working with our suggestions! We appreciate your time and effort on this. You seem like a swell dude. ;-)

just a thought - #102 is conceptually on the right track, but is almost *too* plain - could something go behind or around the cross to dress it up a bit?

Ooh! #114 is great - Trinity symbolism as well! Likey! Thanks!

on #114, if the circles overlapped a little bit more, the trinity symbol in the middle would be more obvious and would reinforce the symbol - does that make sense? the 3 circles and arrows are trinitarian, but you could get that traditional trinity "elipse" thing in the middle if the circles overlapped more.

yeah, I thought it was a cool concept - and it means something without having traditional church imagery. 3 arrows for missional work, 3 circles for the Trinity, obviously.

let me see if I can bring the circles closer together. what do you think about the white space where they overlap? or should they be transparent (not sure how to do that yet).

dig. what can be done to spice it up? give it some "depth" and slickness? It's kinda stark, and I can't decide if I like it stark and simple like that (no frills; as that style guide I sent you from Redemption Church AZ said: "gradients and bevels are for sissies...and unicorns"), or if it needs a little bit of "polish" to it. thoughts?

ah...#115...you beat me to it, ya freakin' mind reader!

"what do you think about the white space where they overlap?" - that's what I mean about the "inner" trinity symbol, formed by the white space where they overlap -

am I making sense?

I wasn't sure what you meant by "transparent" - the circles themselves?

OHHHHHH! makes sense!

ok - check out #116.

On #116 - could just the outlines of the circle still continue around in the white space so that they form the trinity symbol? Not sure if that makes sense...thinking thin lines making the symbol more obvious instead of just all white space.

I like #118 best at this point. Very cool.

Obviously this is minor and we could work through it later, but I'd be interested in seeing some other possible color schemes.

speaking of #118 and different color options, do you have anything in mind? I had a really hard time figuring out what three colors would go together well, so this isn't my strong suit. I finally decided on blue, green and a sorta blue/green that is in between because I figured that is a nice palate.

Thanks Brad - #165 works better than #163 IMO. One idea that Jeff Blackaby and I were kicking around today is the idea of Xenia as the "hub" with arrows ("spokes") emanating out from a center (because of being a transportation hub, the county seat, and the "bicycle capital of the midwest") - #165 makes me think more along those lines. It doesn't look like a bike wheel obviously but the circle has more of that feel. I like it.

what about like #165 but even more arrows? any number divisible by 360.

you know what would be UTTERLY FANTASTIC? I can angle the bottom curve of the arrows and when they are placed around like that, it should create a perfect circle!

#166… perfect circle…BAM!

#166 - that's slick. it kinda reminds me of a ferris wheel, as well as a bike spokes.

okay, bedtime (should be for us both) :-)

#168 is pretty much the same as #166 but has two more arrows for a total of 14. makes them close the circle completely.

#169 is my new favorite!

At staff meeting, your trinity design and #169 were the favorites amongst the staff. Can you play around any more with the 3 circles / arrows - anything that would slick it up, different colors, I don't know... I wasn't as wild as I wanted to be about the version where you outlined the inner trinity symbol (#161) - I keep coming back to #118. Any thoughts, in general?

maybe without the circles all together and just the arrows and trinity symbol? I just think that design is a little busy. maybe removing the three circles would clean it up. also, is there certain way the trinity symbol should sit? kinda awkward as is maybe. should one be up and two down?
