Worldview ReformationLogo Design Contest

I really like the style and color palette of these logos, but I'm not sure if we want to have a round logo. It may be harder to deal with in the website header. And if possible I'd like to have a horizontal oriented logo more like the logo on DesiringGod.com or TheGospelCoalition.com. I'm not sure if it's possible to make the icon something that could be more recognizable and could possibly stand alone like those two sites.

General comment: Darker blue tones are better (not a fan of light blue) but this is perhaps a touch too dark. Would also like a bit more color as well. And as per comment above, simplicity and recognisability are very important. No round logos.

General comment: A cross is fine, but not necessary. I would not choose one logo over another because it had a cross.

#4 and #5 look like sports icons

#1, #2, #3 too busy and I can't have a round logo, it should be square.
#4, #5 better in that there is a square logo, but they look like logos for a sports retailer.

Again the square logo needs to be somewhat simple, and very recognizable. See logos at http://thegospelcoalition.org/ or http://www.desiringgod.org/. Not boring, but not busy either. Two or three colors.

#12 (ranked 1) – Nice color, simple, clean. Objective is to have a clean recognizable logo, not *necessarily* to have the “WR” so prominent.
#13 (ranked 2) – Same as above but would like a bit more color.
#33 (ranked 3) – Nice and clean but needs more color. Also not sure about just having a big “W” on the logo
#14 (ranked 4) – Nice but don’t want rounded corners on the square logo
#29 (ranked 5) – REALLY like how the two “W”s on “Worldview” drop down and have the word “reformation” between them. The square itself needs to have the rounded corners squared off and also needs a bit more color. The “WR” is fine but not necessary if you have a better idea.
#30 (ranked 6) – Same as above but I prefer the text to be beside the square instead of underneath it.
#17 (ranked 7) – Clean but I don’t want a circle in the logo. I need a square.
#24 (ranked 8) – Interesting design. I don’t think that this is the one but keep them coming! Also could use more color than just two shades of blue.
#32 (ranked 9) – Nice but I don’t think the square has enough punch to be easily recognizable. Also don’t want rounded corners.

ALL DESIGNERS PLEASE READ: Don't be afraid to get imaginative. Clear, crisp, but we need a bit more color in the square, and we don't need to stick with the WR letters, although whatever is in the square needs to illustrate what Worldview Reformation is all about.

For example: The Desiring God logo (at www.desiringgod.org) is four arrows pointing in to the center. The message is that "God is at the center". Is there a design that could illustrate the core concept of Worldview Reformation? "Worldview" means the core assumptions that you have that affect how you view the world around you. "Reformation" (in this case) means "to bring back to the Biblical foundation". So, to "reform" your "worldview" means to make sure that the core assumptions through which you view the world are purely Biblical.

PLEASE let's see logos that do NOT have ANY letters in the icon. We are really trying to get an icon that can stand alone and be iconic - not cartoony, not with gradient bursts, etc.

There are more than enough versions with the WV. Please try to find a symbol that can work for the icon. And it is NOT necessary to use the "world" or "globe" or "horizon." These may be too literal and cliche.

The image/logo still needs to fit inside a square, but we need a bit more imagination and detail.

The idea of Worldview Reformation is “Seeing the world “through” the Bible”. You can try to design something with that meaning, but what I really want is a nice, clean-looking logo with a great design and a bit of color. Please don’t just make a square with a few triangles or something.

I think the designers are looking at my top ranks for an idea of what I like, but the problem is that I don’t really like them. So I’m going to delete them all now so that this doesn’t keep happening.

Important note: The logo does not need to be square. It just needs to FIT INSIDE a square. So, it would be something with a white background like many on the https://logotournament.com/contests/156045 contest page.

I don't want something completely abstract. If you're going to use symbols, they have to have something to do with Worldview Reformation, which is about "Seeing the world "through" the Bible". I don't just want random shapes.

3-dimensional and artistic lettering (like in entries 2, 4, 6, 13, 32 and 54 at https://logotournament.com/contests/156045) is nice.

Let's have a bit of color! (but not too much)
