Hello, hpaulhpaul:

We need the original AI/EPS file to do tweaks as you're requesting. A JPG file is a "raster" file, what is essentially a non-scalable (non-editable) file. When you make it bigger, or change a graphic, any changes look like messy, jagged edges. So please, if we are to use ONLY that design....please do upload a vector version of it here for us to work with. We wish to only deliver good work to you, and we are prevented from doing that if we are restricted to using just a raster (JPG) image, as you uploaded here. Thank you for understanding in advance.

If you have any upload issues, please contact Admin for help via the link at the top of your screen, upper right-hand corner.

Also: just curious, as you mention a "bug" in your "Our Ideas and Additional Information" section in the brief.

There is no "bug" in the logo, and no such thing on any of the sites you reference. The only thing that can be seen as "dolphin-like" is the wine in the logo you attached; that's wine, in the shape it'd be if it was in a glass. It's swirling around, and that's why it has the shape it does...does it appear to look like a dolphin or a bug to you? Is that what you are referring to?

One last thing: you mention you need us to add a font treatment "to NapaValley.com and Sonoma.com" ...are you asking us to use the same kind of font that's used there, or are you asking us to design two separate logos that will be used on those sites?

Please do let us know the answers to these questions, as it's always good to get clarification on a Client's needs rather than make assumptions and get it wrong. We'd all appreciate whatever information you can help us with. We thank you in advance for your assistance.

Sorry I meant the icon with the logo. Internally we said "bug" for the icon and logo for the entire graphic.

I tried to upload the eps file but it's too big. I'll try again.

I am not looking for a new font.

We LIKE the WineCountry.com part of the logo, with like the graphic with the exception of the lower part of the glass. Please do not make new logos - just the slight mods we have asked for.

Apply our current font to NapaValley.com and Sonoma.com

Bring the lower side of the glass up slightly

We like both our font our the .com on the side of the Y.

The ONLY changes are just slightly changing the icon so it doesn't look like a dolphin swimming and adding the tag line below.

We are interested in seeing NapaValley.com and Sonoma.com treatments. It needs to be very clear they are part of the WineCountry.com network. My thoughts would be to have NapaValley.com in the same font and with the DOT COM on the Y of Valley (like in Country) but I don't know if the colors should be the same. I don't know if what to do with Sonoma.com since there isn't a Y before the Dot Com. Should the icon be the same or different with these assets of the WineCountry.com brand.

Can you make the comments on the Private page of each designer please.

Thank you, Fernando.

Thank you for providing additional updates to the brief, hpauhpaul. No need to leave these updates you've listed to the brief on individual Designer pages, as was previously requested by another Designer, because the information you listed was a general update to the entire brief, and you are not referencing individual designs. If you were speaking of specific designs, that would require listing your comments on their individual Designer pages.

Thank you for uploading the EPS file for your logo -- Designers appreciate your doing this.

One other thing: are you asking us to design three logos altogether -- NapaValley.com, the Sonoma.com, and the WineCountry.com...? If that is the case, then please know that each contest is for one logo only; it would be a violation of LogoTournament rules for us to design for three separate sites in one contest, even if they're in the same network. We try to avoid rules violations around here (could get us kicked off the site). :)

So if your brief mentions those sites as fonts to keep in mind, that's one thing. But designing completely new logos for all of those other sites in just one contest would be the rules violation we speak of. Please do get back to us with a clarification on what you are asking for, and I am sure Designers will be happy to help you get the logo you want after that.

Just a note for clarity. If the application of the winning logo is to be made on another logo, the winner is not obligated to provide the secondary file free. Payment should be discussed.
