Communication (talking bubbles) is the strongest concept here. The product name has a small pictorial element of a house.

Hope it fits on what your company is looking for.

I must add that this design expresses not one way communication, but two way communication (if you flip the shape you would still get a talking bubble).

May I ask where does WhyChig comes from?

I'm not quite sure what you mean - our company is in the US if that is what you mean.

Yes I know, what I mean is that since the application enhances communications between clients and home builders it shows two-way communication. And I asked where does WhyChig comes from because you said it was a play on an acronym, so I felt curious (it is an interesting name) and asked =).

Best!

Hello there!

Just wanted to show the image in solid colors (let's say it has to appear in solid colors at a time) and black/white. It is important to note that the logo could work also scaled down and black and white (say for instance, that you want to put it small in a quote on the top right corner of the paper).

Thanks

Gotcha - yea, I knew we didn't want a normal name (competitors always use Build in their name and that offers no differentiation. So we did an acronym- "WatcH Your Custom Home Grow" and we just threw the I in to make it a nonsensical word, I guess kinda like Google, although I hear that word has meaning in other languages.

On your comment below, I totally agree. I can see using the background, taking out the name and using it as buttons on our website like a large "Demo" button.

Ohhhh I see ... I like the name!

Well, here I have entry #55 : modified the roof on top of the letters to make it a little bigger, kinda completes a whole house on itself in combination with the letters h and g. Did that modification in case you wanted to see a more obvious representation of home in the design.

Thanks!

Thanks, but I think I like the subtle roof the best. I don't it to over power anything - but thanks very much for all of the options, I do really appreciate it.

I may have to take my last comment back. Any thoughts on how to incorporate construction or a house more into this design?

Maybe I'm just second guessing myself to much. You don't necessarily have to design it out, maybe just post a comment here to give me your thoughts on any minor modifications we could do. Thanks!

I would say that to develop more a solid idea I would have to be working directly on it (I am opening the Illustrator file for your logo right now), but I think that if we take #55 as a basis, and if I take the roof and shrink it juuust a little bit then I could add like an underline or something to "Chig", and I could integrate a more completed house to this design.

I'll illustrate this and post it back for you to look at it.

Thank you very much for your feedback!

Ok here I am posting some thoughts on what you said earlier:

In entry #81 I did the "underline" just a little bit so that you would see not only the roof, but the floor for the house. In entry #80 I extended the line all the way to the beginning of the word just to make the whole thing look more "closed".

In #84 and #85 I added a hammer in negative space to the H in "chig"

I must say though that to me these elements crowd the design a little bit; if you would ask me, I would still go with my entry #45 because it looks cleaner and more simple. It still has the house element to it, but it highlights more the "communication" part, which is at the end what I think the user will be looking for. "Successful communication between me and the home builder".

Here I've changed the roof to the W so it looks now like a tall house (grow) and then on top of the I've put a hammer, and I chose it because it is like one of the most fundamental tools that homebuilders and remodelers use for their job.

Ok, I'm sorry to bomb all of the entries, butthey did give me ideas. I like the rounded corners more than the square corners, plus I was thinking if you made the size of the box a bit bigger, we could put a chimney on top of the house so its clear what that triangle is, retaining the triangle over the i as opposed to the w. You know what I'm saying? Thanks!
