Hello - Thanks for a minute of your time. This is a great idea by the way, My wife and I have two little girls and one on the way....We WOULD LOVE to know what kind of stuff is going around in our area!

As for my design...I created it to mesh perfectly with your web design images that you uploaded.

Thanks again,
Paul

Hi Tilly,

Thanks for your entry and words of encouragement - we are looking forward to launching a beta in the next month. We liked your design, but would you be able to make the people not so, well, fat? ;-) They don't need to be triangles, but they look on the pudgy side.

Thanks!

Obviously healthy eating was not "going round" on my first attempt...these guys have worked out and lost a little weight. ;-)

Love your comment about healthy eating!

We like the four people in a circle, but it is dangerously close to Ubuntu.

While the "button" look works on the website, we are concerned about how that will work on letterhead and other less dynamic medium. Can you try those concepts with thought to how they would look on flat paper?

Thanks!

Hi TillyDes!gn,

We like entry #52, though we've decided that the button look really doesn't work for us. Yes, it goes with the design of the web site - perhaps too well. We think people are more likely to see it as "just another button" rather than our logo. We'd prefer to see it like this:

1) Without the button - no outer border, no inner blue area,
2) Add color to the image,
3) Bump the number of people on the outer "ring" to 4
4) Increase the size of the image to something like #60.

The other way to look at this would be to take #60, make the style of the outer ring more like #52, and add the family with color in the center.

Of course, we welcome any other variations or concepts you want to submit.

Thanks,

The WGR Team

I have to agree...I think people might have been "clicking" on the logo thinking it was a button...

Here are the changes per your request. I think we still have a mark that matches the site very nicely, yet it sets itself apart from the functioning links and buttons on the site.

Thanks again for the feedback. It is the best way for us to get the mark to where you need it.

Great variation on #88. We'd like to get the co name like this:

what's
going
round
.com

(small .com, like you had)

Enlarge pic. We're jazzed about this - might want to see a sample without gradients, black and white, just to see how it looks that way.

Here are two concepts per your request. The lowercase letters make spacing a bit problematic when stacking the name (#91). To fix this I also have an entry with all uppercase letters. (#92)

I will send over some B/W versions as well as remove the gradients.

Tweaked the wordmark a little bit.

FYI...grayscale, and B/W versions are available with the original at no cost. I never charge for these variations.

(not sure if you check your messages, so resending here...)
Hi Paul,

I like the lettering in #97, it is not justified, making it more 'interesting' without being obnoxious,
but was wondering if you could play with a few variations, such as:
Take out the gradient
Make the letters all one color (black is an option)
Make W, G, R caps, so that they stand out a little

I'm leaning heavily towards #97, but just need to see it tweaked a little.

Thanks!!

Kudos on the uppercase letters idea. They make it work very nice. I think this is my favorite.

Professionally speaking using the monotone wordmark highlights the logo itself because it tones it down a bit. The colored letters might be overkill. Its hard to tell. You have a better feel for your clients, and there leanings. I must say though that I think this a very nice mixture.

Please feel free to keep any feedback coming. It is always my goal to get the perfect mark for my clients.

Hey Paul,

We love #100. Just a small tweak and we think we are there
Could you center align the W G and R? - This would be our main logo
Can you provide this design in greyscale like #96? - for non-color situations
Can you provide a version with just solid color instead of stylized with the arc through the letters? - for small or non-sophisticated printing situations.

We think that will be it. Thanks for great work!!
