Playing off the current logo, I used a more modern font and used full ellipses instead of the partial circles.

Playing off the current logo, I used a more modern font and used full ellipses instead of the partial circles. This variation includes an ellipse that can hold the frequency (as shown) or ".com"

#1 & #2: I like the modern shape of the font and it's general connection to the past logo, yet I think the brush strokes are a bit "sharp" (for lack of a better word). We'd want something with more solid lettering. As a media logo, we also want something visible from a distance away for display at concerts and events.

Here's another variation with a more solid, easier to read font.

#12 - Thanks for the update, yet we still need a thicker, font. This one is too thin with sharp angles. We want something that convey's "warmth" and "friendliness". I'm thinking of a more bold, rounded font with a bit of "playfulness". I think of more solid version of the original font you used (without the brush stroke effect) was actually closer. Also, we would need to always display our frequency (having it a good size, at least 1/2 the size of WFRN) and the ".com" which can be at a smaller size. As compared to #2, I'd rather have the frequency more included in the main design, inside or on top of the swirl.

Thank you for your work on our designs. Our final decision on the winner will not be instant as I would like to get further input from my committee. I wanted to be sure that you caught a general message the I just posted on the site:

As the contest is ending in just a few hours... I want to thank everyone who has submitted entries, especially those who have taken my suggestions and done multiple revisions. Although Logo Tournament has some great qualities, it is unfortunate that only one artist can win the contest. WFRN is open to finding additional graphic artists to assist us in designing our promotional products and marketing material. This includes, but is not limited to designing: mailing postcards, billboards, t-shirts, promotional contest logos and especially web banners of varying sizes. If you have an online portfolio of examples of some of these types of graphics and are interested in doing work for us, please email me, Rachelle Brandt at: rbrandt@wfrn.com and use "Logo Tournament" in the email subject.
