Thanks for your entry but I feel the font is a bit basic, and I dont realy want to add any weld graphics. - I feel we need to move towards more style in the font.
I like where you are heading with this, but unfortunately it is very similar to a competitors logo. They have an almost identical red star that flashes across the text also.
#29 I like where you are going with this. I like the oval boarder and the concept of the graphic below the Steadymig. However I find the font to be a bit square and basic. I feel the answer lies in the style of the font. Are you able to give some thought around the look of the font. We are really looking for a unique style that indicates quality and reliability, without just looking like plain block letters.
As a general comment: Are you able to give some thought around the possibility of using lower case and perhaps incorporating the tail of the "g" into the design somehow? what about italics also?
#38 You are diffinately making progress, although I feel your font is still a bit square and upright? The letter "t" seems to divide the word somewhat. Thanks for your efforts!
I think your latest design is your best yet! It portrays the look of quality and reliability we are after.
My only comment for improvement at this stage is the clarity of the text. I like how you have provided some texture to the font, but perhaps you could make it a bit more subtle to improve the clarity?
#58 Thanks for the modification. Don't pay too much attention to the rankings at the moment. They are simply my interpretations. I plan to involve more of the team over the next day or so which may alter the rankings.
I won't ask you to modify again unless we slot you into the number 1 spot.
I notice the inner oval is slightly off centre. Is this part of your design or do you think it would look better being symmetrical?
#59 Appears a bit pink on the top which is why I haven't ranked that one.
I'm not sure if it just my monitor, but #58 doesn't look as clear and sharp as #59 does?
The offset is by design. I can do one with it centered. On #59 it looks a bit pink to me, sometimes it does strange thing when we post to this site. I'll try reposting and i'll remove #59 to avoid confusion. Thanks for the feedback.
#73 This gives me a really good idea of what your design will look like on a printed page as opposed to on a red background. Are you able to make the flash blue? Perhaps white in the very middle and then fading into a deep blue as it radiates out?
#103 We have recently finished an exersize which involved several members of the team ranking the entries. I am pleased to report that your design came out on top - well done!
A small team will be discussing it tomorrow incase we need any alterations done before we settle on the final design.
