Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monitary means of showing apprecaition for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

Helllo, everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I have changed my color preferences, I have removed "purple or green" all together, as I have realized I don't really have a huge preference. My new color preferences are:

" Not necessarily grey, but preferably softer, more tame shades of colors. Anything will work if you make it look good, just make sure the colors aren't too wild. My idea for the theme of the site is just laid back colors that all are matching in brightness/saturation, so you really could make anything work. Be creative, I am open to all ideas."

However, I do like the entries so far that have used purple and green, so don't think I am requesting that you not use it, I am simply trying to remove the emphasis on those colors to allow for a wider range of entries.

I should also mention that the site isn't yet constructed, I have thrown together an idea at http://www.webskethio.com/index.php , but this is very bland and I will definitely change it. One of the major issues with it is that there is no logo to add some excitement to the page, so bear in mind through the design process that your logo could have a huge effect on the site, you could possibly convince me to change the theme all together to match your logo.

I am sorry that my guidelines are so broad, that probably makes it harder, but I'm not good at this sort of thing, and you people are, so do your best and I will be sure to rank every entry as fairly as possible.

I just want to let everyone know that these logos are looking amazing, thanks so far to everyone who is participating! I want you to know that below rank #11 I am not putting much thought into the ranking, as the rank doesn't actually matter down there. If there were more first second and third place spots, more logos would be at the top. Just remember that even if I don't have your logo in the very top of the list I am still considering it, this ranking thing is just difficult for me.
