Hi, here is my initial entry for your consideration. I've used subdued colors, as requested in your brief. This is a 3D-ish lettermark for W. Thanks!

Here's the same concept in one color on a darker background.

Wow! You have really impressed me, I think you just took number one for now! Its good to see some different coloration than everyone else, and your decision to use subdued colors was a good one! I love the font as well.

I can't think of anything I would like to request right now, but if you come up with more stuff, please submit it! I appreciate you sending messages along with your submissions, no one else has done that so far.

Thanks, Lindsey!

if it's not a bother, could I see how that logo would come out in equally subtle colors other than brown? I want to have a logo with a default color, scheme, such as what you've provided me with. However, one of the things I am really wanting my site to do is smoothly change color from page to page. My current "logo" which is really just "WebSkethio" written in funny text, is slightly transparent and thus when the layer under it changes color, it matches the page. This would be difficult to do with an actual logo, and I don't expect people to just provide me with that, I figured I would take whatever logo wins and create a grayscale version that can be made transparent and the same effect applied. This of course is sort of an aplha-stage idea and may or may not be implemented in my final site, but I just figured your logo is very flexible as far as colors go (though I love the brown).

Also, would you mind if (when the contest is drawing close to an end) I took a screenshot of some of your logo ideas for me and put them in a facebook album to let my community help me decide which logo is best? After the contest, the album will be deleted along with all the files.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! I have created a new version -- kind of a cross between my first two -- in one color (that will make using it with transparency a lot simpler and I think more elegant). The logo is displayed here in white at 70% opacity, which you could do with a transparent PNG over any color background. Here are six different dark background colors so you can see ... the logo image over the background is unchanged from entry to entry (white at 70% opacity).

As for adding my designs to a Facebook album, I suppose I could live with that. But so you know, Logo Tournament has a feature where you can invite trusted friends to view your contest and rank the entries. You might prefer to use that feature. That way, no designers have to worry about their designs being on Facebook when copyright hasn't changed hands, and your friends can have an opportunity to use the feature built right on the site. It keeps the discussion a bit more private and protects designers as well. Just a thought.

Well the only reason I'm not using that is because I wanted a lot of people to tell me what each logo represents to them, ie: professional quality vs. creative designs vs. quick completion, etc.... Because I am trying to create an image for my business here.

On the topic of your logo, I like the way the W cuts off without completely breaking through the circle in #32, and I like the 2 tone text in #30, though perhaps it should be more subtle, or maybe slightly bolder text for "skethio" or something.

I have "not interested" a few of your color variations because I understand they are just demonstrating a transparent logo. Would you suggest "not interesting" for various similar entries that I will not be selecting or should I just rank everything so people get points?

Hey lindsey, I just wanted to thank you for your effort in my contest. Unfortunately, I had to select one logo, and yours just wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I really liked the subtle look and coloring, but I had to settle with something a bit more "tech" looking. I'm sure you understand, but I thought I would just drop you a line to say thanks. Anyway, keep up the work, and thanks again!
