I went with a basic black background to help offset the subtle white gold effect of the wolf and lettering.

Hi Kiwi - thanks so much for this. We like this direction a lot for two reasons, the wolf is pretty simple and classic, and we feel that the WEARWOLF part is classic and polished. We're wondering if we can get the same feel as this, but somehow incorporate the wolf leaping into this. Also, the words WEAR & WOLF can be separated, meaning, whatever graphic can fit in the middle, or play with the middle, such as a logo we've toyed with so far.

I did two different versions with a jumping wolf, this one is along the lines of the more popular ones from the competition, with a running wolf above the lettering

And this one with a wolf leaping from between the words. I purposely kept the slight overlap of the wolf and the words as I wanted it the wolf to act as an joiner for the two.
