Color Preferences
Hi Designers! A 'neutral' color palette would be great here. The company is called "Wearwolf," as is in the clothing industry - it's a somewhat conservative company, so a color palette that shows sophistication, a classic look and durability is best. Colors in the realm of PANTONES 454C; 465C; or Warm Gray 7C are great. Open to all other suggestions as well.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
The company is WEARWOLF, a play on the name "WEAR" and "WERE-WOLF" - we'd like to include a simple but classic interpretation of a pack of wolves, similar to the link below. We love the 'leaping/running' wolf, and somehow want to incorporate a pack of wolves with this.
So the logo can resemble the style of the ones we ranked the highest, but we're looking for a pack of wolves, somehow maybe one leaping out from the rest. Or, perhaps just a pack of wolves, no leaping, it's up to you.
Thanks for all the great ideas - it has been a real pleasure getting everyone's take on the company name and see so much talent on a site like this. We have some real strong contenders.
We still have about 5 days on this, but we wanted to point out a few things just to help any future entries keep on track.
After carefully reviewing the ones that have already come in, these are some points we'd like to highlight:
(A) We'd like to steer away from using "paws" or animal prints within the logo, only because it's a clothing line, and we feel a paw or something like that will give it a rustic/hiking/outdoors kind of look which is not what our clothing line is about.
(B) We understand that even though it is "WEARWOLF" as in the mythological creature with the moon, but we'd like to stay away from it literally. It's more about the "WOLF" and less about the whole full-moon thing. We like some of the ones with the crescent moon, but we'll probably go with something that doesn't include the moon reference.
(C) We're looking at a lot of logos with the same placement in reference to the font (graphic centered on top of name), but we haven't seen too many variations of this in terms of placement, proportion, etc... Feel free to submit different arrangements than the standard centered one.
(D) If there are any other classic fonts out there with their own personalities, that would be great. If you have some that are in the neighborhood of the following: Garamond, Mrs. Eaves, Granjon, Caslon, a semi-serif similar to Columbia, Optima or Rotis is OK too if it works), Golden Cockerel,
(E) We would be happy to see any new fresh ideas perhaps using imagery of a man's suit somehow juxtaposed with a wolf-profile - some kind of "positive/negative space" graphics such as the hidden "arrow" in the FedEx logo or something clever like that. Just a thought for anyone who might take a stab at that.
Hope this helps!!! Overall, a lot of great ideas, it's going to prove difficult to pick a winner on this. Much appreciation for the thought and artistry put into the entries thus far. Please feel free to contact us with any other questions at all. We will provide quick feedback as we're constantly monitoring the contest. THANKS!!! :-)
UPDATE EVERYONE: Hi Everyone, we want to thank all of you who have entered your logo. Unfortunately, it's been a tough decision picking which one will be the final one - lots of fantastic ideas!! The ones that are 'ranked' are the ones that are going to be considered.
The person who is going to make the final call cannot view these until Monday, after the contest has already been closed. So, I have put all the ones that they have considered in the ranked area - NOTE: The one in 1st place has gotten the most buzz so far, but all the rest are still on the table because there are three people who have to agree on the final logo and some of these haven't been viewed by the people making the final decision. So, the ranking order, for now, is not necessarily an indication of who's is more popular, although, the first three have gotten the most attention. The ones that have come in late are also very interesting, so we will show those off as well on Monday.
We hope to come to a final decision by Wednesday, the 29th by 6PM, U.S. Eastern Standard Time.
If you have any questions, just give us a shout out. Again, fantastic work to all!!! :-)
P.S. If anyone wants feedback on their particular logo, even if it hasn't been ranked, please feel free to send us a PM message and we'll do our best to respond in a timely manner. Have a great weekend!!!
