We love what you've done with the small 'golf club' font, perfect! We don't like the way the W looks in this font type, so could you change it to something similar (without changing up the entire font).
Also, we do not have an island green, and that's what the pic represents to us. Can you come up with a few differnt pics using that same layering concept and colors, the flag stick, and the two birds.
Thank you TillyDes!gn! I like them all, but I think #69 is my favorite as well. Excited for my husband to wake up so I can have him take a look. Thanks for all your hard work!
Thanks. One thing I keep in mind with golf clients is the need for embroidery. Your logo will go on hats and visors and polos. It needs to have defined edges and little fading for this to work best.
Thoughts..... 1. Your design catches our eye more than any other. 2. Your art work still suggests a bit of an 'island green', which we 'sort of' have at our golf course. But the logo could suggest that this is our signature hole and it is not. Maybe take the same concept and artwork but try to ease out of a circle? Hmmm, not sure I'm explaining this very well. 3. Can you try putting the font from #71 into the logo for #68? 4. We don't care too much for the square style art works (they kind of remind us of an app).
#97 | Font change as requested. #98 and #99 | Similar feel, but more emphasis on the greens, and a more lakeside feel. Eliminates the feeling of an island, It is more of a waterside fairway and green, with the lake surrounded by land.
Like the image of 102 and 103, but like the trees on the left side of the green in 103. Can you put the image from 103 into the same format as 97 with the Waters Edge next to the pic rather than below it?
And we're disgregarding the idea of the year 2013, just FYI :-) THANKS!
Here are a couple more. I think these are my favorite. I've supplied them in both layouts.
I used the blue from the text in the lake, to tie it together tighter, and laid it out with the text on top and beside as requested. I love how the hole plays toward you in this image. It creates the feeling of distance.
Tilly, Thanks for all your hard work! My husband and I are discussing all of our possibilities and sort of took the afternoon off yesterday. We'll be in touch soon! Thanks again.
#116 - Water and land inside the words. #117 - Green in the words. Water stands alone, but ties closely to the wordmark. I LOVE the birds. It sells the natural concept of your course.
My concern is, with this last minute extension, and all of the work already focused to the contest, (And the international zones on this site) you may have lost the contact of others in your contest. Its pretty unusual to change direction at this stage. I myself have to be away for most of today with my normal in house stuff. These contests sites are a side focus for most of us, and a 24 hour window can be pretty tough for the professional designers here to find a window for.
I will TRY to submit more later, but I'm just not sure what time will allow.
One thing too, is I hope you don't let the print issues decide this. Issues with printing detail, and even embroidering are generally left over issues from 5 years ago. Most modern print shops etc, would have no issues with the more detailed designs. So that may be something to consider.
I will TRY to get back into my studio at some point this evening to work further, but I wanted to at least get these ideas to you.
Tilly - I really like what you've done with #117 and #118. I think for right now,
Thanks for your feeback on the logo printing. It's always good to have different opinions and insights all around.
Thanks for your feedback on the contest as well. As I have told a few others, this has been an incredible learning experience for us and it's amazing how much of what we 'thought' we wanted has transformed. I think most of the designers still in the Top 5 are from the US, but if people don't have time, I understand that and never intend on throwing people for a curve. I intentionally waited until this morning to open the contest back up since today is Friday and the contest would take us into the weekend. Thanks again for everything and I appreicate all feedback.
#105 - Can you move the words golf club down a small amount, just so that golf club is not touching the Edge. Also, can you make golf club a bit smaller (similar to #112). #117 - Can you make Waters Edge a bit darker shade green?
I know that we've been a bit back and forth and probably making you crazy, but we're interested in knowing which logo you would chose.
No, your not making me crazy! This is all part of the process.
I genuinely like them all. I think the two I just uploaded are the best. It just depends on weather you need very simple or more stylized concepts. I really have to say the simple design grew on me today as I revisited it. Its really a dead heat to me.
One thing I keep thinking though is for the future...A lot of Country/Golf clubs are developing apps for their membership. You can set tee times, check weather, hole info (yardage) all in one app.
The more artistic design can be cropped into a nice app icon. It can be more versatile I suppose.
I totally get what your saying about the app, and we have considered an app. I can't decide between the two either. They are both really good but in a different way. We have things narrowed down to only a couple of more thoughts. I like the the word golf club in blue in #153 but I would like to see a little darker green (like the color of dark grass). Also, I had forgotton how much I like the way you had the E in EDGE a little bigger in earlier designs, so we would like to see that also. Thanks!
Congratulations we have choosen your design. Thank you for your work and your feedback. We have not been able to decide between the designs like #172 and #174. We have decided to choose the designs like #117 and #174 because we feel it's more versatile and we would hardly need to alter it. The problem we've had is that we really like the graphics in designs like #172. We are telling you all of this in case something occurs to you. Having said that we are choosing #117, but we would like to work with you on the color of the lettering. We like the big E at the beginning of EDGE and we like the colors of Waters and golf club to be a little more like #174. We are also thinking there may be some benefit in adding "The Pub at WATERS EDGE golf club, or just the Pub at WATERS EDGE Is that something you could do for a small prize increase?
The changing is fairly inexpensive. I usually charge a flat 1 hour fee for those type of changes. I would simply send you all of the needed file types in the "pub at" format through a private paypal transaction, after this contest was closed out. I think trying to add more to the Logo Tournament prize amount would only lengthen the process for you, with it being the weekend. Also Logo Tournament only has the ability to process the winning file, so additional files have to be transferred via private e-mail anyway. (I hope that helps!)
Thanks again! Let me know if I can help further. I'm available most of the weekend.
I just uploaded the final file. To transfer copyright, simply click "Accept files". My 1 hour rate is $35. I will try and get you the additional file later today. (I'll forward a paypal invoice as well.
