Wacky BitsLogo Design Contest

A little subtlety could go a long way here, guys. We're not really looking for any big smiles or laughing mouths in our logo because it is way too obvious. We don't want to force it down people's throats that we do comedy, the name of our company and content in our videos should (hopefully) do enough of that. We're looking to use this as our stamp to associate with our brand.

Love all the logos so far, getting a lot of good ideas to choose from. Any chance someone can come up with something that incorporates some sort of character, and a little less of the, for lack of a better word, "corporate" look? I know that's painting with a broad brush so to speak, but we haven't decided whether we want to go with a logo that looks clean, or something that just screams "OMG THESE GUYS ARE REALLY WACKY." Thanks!

To elaborate further on my last point, by character I don't mean laughing face. Just some sort of character, maybe an animal, or like a donkey or something. I feel like animals are memorable, and our main objective is to leave a lasting impression, set us apart from the thousands of other ppl doing the same thing we're doing. Would just love to see what someone can come up with. Again, haven't decided exactly which direction to go in. This is an open canvas for us as much as it is for you.

Or a smiling camel with a camera around its neck, wearing running shoes or something.

Or a horse's ass with flies buzzing around it. Have fun with it!

Note: the prize level for this contest does not attract those who do detailed illustrations of characters with lots of dimension... if you want that level of illustration it is suggested that you increase the prize.

Note: It's not something we're demanding from designers, but feel providing depth in what we're after can't help but yield results which closer resemble what we've imagined in our heads. Thanks for your input though. We have faith in the Logo Tournament system.

Understood. To be clear, this isn't a requirement that we are demanding from participating designers. If anybody would like to mock something up per our suggestion and submit it, we'd love to consider it as an option. If not, that's fine too.

These are all coming out so great! Would somebody mock up a camel wearing a video camera around its neck? I think that'd be hilarious.

As I just told user raymer in a direct message, I want to be clear that the donkey/camel with a camera around his neck was our suggestion to begin with so please do not hesitate to submit your own rendition of that. It is not a violation of the rules. A few designers have made it their thing, which we are loving so far, but it looks like that's the idea we're most likely moving forward with so again, please don't hesitate to come up w your own version.
