First of all, Thanks for the invite!!! But this is what I came up for you guys. Any comments or concerns you might have would be great, so hopefully we can get this logo looking just the way you want it!.. But anything else just let me know and thanks again and good luck, Pat
This looks great...it obviously expresses the off-road theme with the dirt embedded fonts. I'm trying to decide on the splats of different colors in the background. I guess my main concerns are the fades and how this will look on a dark colored shirt or background. Would it be possible to see some examples of it against a dark grey, dark blue, and black background? Also, is a slightly simpler design that we could use for shirts, for example, that wouldn't appear to lose the branding of the real logo, but make it easier to print on shirts? Am I worrying about nothing? :)
To funny, By trade I own a silkscreen business... So you shouldnt have any problem with this design. I always try to design with spot colors because alot of the logos I design end up on some kind of apparel. I guess the only problem you would have is "cost of goods sold" meaning how many colors are you willing to pay for once you guys go to production. But what I can do is simplify it, maybe show it to you as a two color or one color on a black b/g. If you guys need anything else, just let me know.
Pat, I like this one, as well, even though it's simpler and less color. Do you feel having the original on my website and the two color one on a t-shirt would take away from the company's brand at all? Would it be better to stick to one design for all uses? Would it be possible to see both of them against a black, dark gray, and white background, because those are going to be the most common situations we'll run into? I really appreciate it...
For a corp. mark I dont think that is a problem at all to have flashy design on your site, and watered down version for signage or apparel. Companies do it all the time. So I think you would be fine... Alittle under the weather last couple of days so moving slower then normal, So i will have revised designs on multiple backgrounds this afternoon.
Here is the revised design per your latest comments. As a reminder Im still working with just two colors. So if you want to see anything else experimenting with additional colors just let me know!.. Have a good holiday weekend! Pat
Thanks for the comments, Was hoping that was were we were going to net out! So good news. But here are the color revisions you asked for. So if there is anything else just let me know.
Just want to mention still designed as a 2 color... But with just bolder colors like you asked for. Keeping printing cost in mind with the revisions...
To me the brighter colors on this font loses the off-roady'ness that it definitely has when keeping with the brown dirt color. My first choice for yours is still the original designs with and without the multi color backgrounds. I'm just struggling between yours still and the places 1 & 3. I'm sorry those brighter colors didn't help me out much in my decision...
Part of my thought now is which of these logos will look best in a combined logo combination with my other site's logos: http://www.utvmarketplace.com and http://www.utvrally.com I'm thinking a triangular design of all three logos combined/connected together with a customer/consumer driven center...maybe even an animated utv overhanging the bottom logo or something to that effect in the center of the three logos. PM me, if you have some ideas...it would be another project on here I guess, or outside of here if it needed to be...not sure of the rules on here. chris (at) utvreport (dot) com
