What We Do
I am a physician who tutors medical students taking the US medical licensing exams (www.usmle.org) - these are some of the most brutal and lengthy exams any student can ever wish to take - understandably so as it is a rigorous process to become a physician in the US. I use a very unique approach in that I focus on being more than just a tutor and more so a mentor - learning about their strengths and vices, teaching them question strategy, etc... Current website is "www.usmletutor.com" for all of you to check out and get understanding of what I do.

Color Preferences
I would enjoy seeing blue (common color in medicine) and orange...
Our Ideas & Additional Information
1) Please note that the word "USMLE" is trademarked by NBME (national board of medical examiners) - so, please put "TM" in very tiny font at end of it... you can see examples of other companies who have used it and placed "TM" by searching for USMLE books on amazon

2) Again, please somehow try and merge the concepts of medicine, hard work, and education

Love the color schemes so far... however, the symbol used in Designs 1,2,3 is actually for paramedics. I like the concept of book and that modern/cosmo look of someone with stethoscope

Hello!

Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ LEAVE PRIVATE FEEDBACK BY CLICKING ON A DESIGN. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After the Open Phase ends, you can then rank Top 5 Designers in order for them to upload their revised/new logo designs.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Looking at the designs so far, I just imagined a medical student sitting sideways reading a book - his back is propped against the words USMLE Tutor. :)
The challenge will be making the figure look like a med student/doctor while sitting sideways with a book...

These guidelines are at the bottom of each contest page:

CONTEST HOLDER GUIDELINES FOR POSTING:

We require that you do not ask one designer to use elements or concepts from another Designer. The general rule is that, if a Designer was the first to submit the idea, they essentially own that concept or idea for the remainder of the contest. Requests or ideas you have put in your contest Brief are fair game and open to everyone. Concepts that are considered obvious will also be fair game, for example: a dog & cat for a pet hospital, shopping bag for an e-commerce company, a tooth for a dentist, initials for a lawyer, etc.
