We target mostly women who are busy (working, raising children, etc) but love to create interesting food that is also healthful and delicious
Color Preferences
The marinade itself is a burnt orange color, so the logo should look good with this color behind it. One of the primary uses for this logo will be on our glass bottle. it is 12oz., round, tall, and clear.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Please no olive cartoons or characters. The logo can be playful, but the target audience is adults. the logo should "pop" out at customers without being tacky or silly.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
I like what I see so far. The olives look great, and I like them but please don't feel limited to using an olive in the logo. We chose "urban olive" as a name because there is olive oil in the marinade, its mediterranean/middle eastern, and its fun. Another idea, I should have suggested adding "Mediterranean inspired Marinade for Chicken" (and the other will be Beef) to the logo. I don't know if I like that or not. I don't have all of that worked out yet.
Thanks for all the great ideas so far. I like the first 4 I ranked almost equally. I am not a fan of the cartoon ones. Try to think of this as a marinade label and design something that would make you want to buy it.
I am trying to think how the "marinade for chicken/beef" part (worded differently perhaps) can be incorporated because I feel that its important to distinguish between the different flavor profiles. The chicken one is great on fish too, and the beef can be used on lamb (very med/middle eastern) so the words chicken or beef are too narrow, but alas the distinction needs to be made.
#24, i like the idea but the color (blue/black) seems too loud. I like the green/brown/orange color schemes but please don't feel limited.
I would also like to see some "non olive" designs if possible. there is olive oil in the recipe, but not actual olives. We named it "urban olive" because everyone thought that;s what I was saying when I said "Herb & Olive" (say it out loud) which everyone hated, thinking it sounded too much like a corporate-invention.
Thank you for all the great work. You are all so very talented. Please remember that this logo will be going on a 12oz round marinade bottle (almost like a Heitz ketchup bottle) so the letters/graphics need to be readable/understandable on that medium.
I like the earth tones I am getting but please don't feel limited to them. I want a logo that catches the eye and wows! the potential customer on looks alone :)
hi Everyone first, thanks for all the great designs that keep coming, its amazing to see. I really like the my top 9 ranks right now, but i am concerned about a few things: i am concerned that the white space on the label will cause it to get lost on the grocery store shelf. i need some "pop" without getting tacky or too graphic. a co-worker suggested that since the marinade is burnt orange, perhaps some blue color would work ??? another concern i have is that the logo needs to fit well on a round bottle, so the super horizontal labels might pose a problem (or be printed so small that lose their zing). thanks and i apprieciate your work.
hi everyone - thank you for all your continued work and talent, i have been very impressed. i am still looking for something that "pops" out at a customer without being tacky or silly. there are a lot of bottles on the shelves, i want them to pick up mine.
hello Designers thanks for all the ideas that keep coming in. I am still leaning towards my #1 or #4 pick because i think they stand out and would get chosen first in a line up of bottles. this is what i am looking for - what i am calling the "POP" factor - getting attention from consumers. I am very open to more of these kinds of designs. thanks.

" As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be chosing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.
When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.
This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.
It feels frasturating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.
So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there."
