For the small space gardener
What We Do
A website that will promote urban sustainable living in the form of tutorials, articles and blogs and also a retail storefront offering supplies/equipment for people practicing gardening and other forms of permaculture in the small spaces of urban/suburban areas.
Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - Sustainable living - "Circle of life"
#2 - Self-Reliance
#3 - Back to basics
Our Target Audience:
People wanting to take a step closer to leading a sustainable, self-reliant lifestyle by growing their own food, composting, employing permaculture living techniques, etc. but are limited by the space they have in their urban/suburban homes/yards. Target audience is predominately mid to high-income women & men (more women than men) 30+ years of age, that may or may not have children and are interested in participating in the current green revolution by getting "back to basics" but integrating those choices into their modern lifestyles. They may be new to gardening and need simple, all-in-one, easy-to-implement gardening solutions.
Earthy colors: greens, greys, browns, oranges, etc. I want to stay away from too much red. No teals or turquoise please.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
I'd like to see a mix of both matte and glossy finishes. Although, I don't want to taint any creativity, our storefront is up and we do have a temporary logo and some colors we've tried out, but it's just not exactly what I want. It's a bit too flat, old-school and not professional enough. I've thought of maybe a beautiful tomato being somewhere in there? I just need a professional eye on this and we'll be redesigning our website around the logo that wins! (www.urbangardensolutions.com)
