What We Do
UpcomingEvents.com is a multi-platform event resource website specializing in marketing & advertising and event planning. We plan many types of events from Happy Hours to Charity Events to large galas and execute different types of client-oriented programs.

Events
Color Preferences
The colors of the logo should relatively complement to our current website (www.UpcomingEvents.com) since we are going to phase-in this logo from what we have to what the logo will be (it will end up being the one we choose). The new logo does *NOT* have to be the same colors as the current logo as we will likely use this logo for the next phase of our website in the near future. Professional looking colors & setup a must, without losing the relative fun factor of what we do as well.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Have fun, be creative! Simpler is better - nothing too confusing or waayyy out there. People (clients and event goers) should see the logo and "get" what we do - events and client promotions/advertising. Our current website: http://www.UpcomingEvents.com. We like www.eventful.com, www.zvents.com, www.going.com, etc, but do not want to copy anything from them (we really would like something new and different). We want to try to keep the logo a bit more compact lengthwise than our current logo as well.

The colors of #1 and #2 are nice, but not a requirement. We do not want to leave too many comments yet since it is early on and we do not have alot of choices yet. Same thing for the rankings. One thing is to keep in mind that any icon used should tell the client or customer about our business. Keep them coming - we will update this a few times a day once there are more entries. Thanks!

Interesting idea for the #1/#2 logo. Instead of the black BG (which we like, but commits us to black BG for good) can we see that single pixel green border on the white text? Might be cool to see that for that logo example. We are still waiting on some new and awesome logo examples - post your ideas, we are waiting and excited! Thanks.

We liked the attempt with the calendar since it is what we are about, but the logo is not professional enough for our website. We need something cleaner and more simple. Thanks though!

We have to be careful with logos like #8 and #9, they look like a section of a website ("this is the Upcoming Events section") and not the main force of the website. We still definitely like #1 and #2 the best, simple, professional looking. It may be a bit too close to http://eventful.com, but it is still nice. Some icon that describes our site that we can use alone and people still get that it is ours is important as well. Since the website name is so long, maybe a creative placement of the .com and/or the icon should be above? Not a designer, but just a thought!! Thanks! Keep them coming!

Thanks for the new concepts everyone. We would like to see some simple, slick, enticing designs with the icon not on the left side. Maybe something built in to the text (has to be SUBTLE - or maybe just color emphasis?) or above the text? Also, see if you can work our tag line in "Find Out What's Going On!™". The logo should be able to both support the tag line or we can leave it out if we want to for a certain application. Thanks!!

#16 and #17 show a great use of the .com to save space. Would like to see more examples NOT on a black background since most of the use will be on white (but we will need a version for dark backgrounds too, but that can come from the white background version). Thank you!

There really are some great logos in here now - thanks everyone! We like the gray, green, and blue colors the best I think. #83 was a good stab at an icon, would like to see that with a bigger .com under the wording (like #80). There is a natural home for the tag line in between the p and g, maybe put it there too (increase character spacing to make it fit at a readable size maybe?) #84 may look a bit too much like an airline logo (great one for that!) #82 is very interesting too. We could like that more, there is something that is making it too playful. We like the dots, maybe an upper case E and something different with the shadowing? There is no tag line too. Thanks all, keep 'em coming!

We just posted the old UCE logo (from a few years ago). The mouse pointer was kinda cool (kinda dumb too). Not sure if anyone has any interesting ideas to use that for. See the old logo for details - thanks!

Logo Designer
Dear CH,
By the way you didn't know, when the contest is in judging if you want to ask for changes for any designer you need to put that designer ranked first.... just the first ranked designer can send new versions of the logo.... you can switch anytime between designers and ask for the changes
