Our Ideas & Additional Information
Using the university guidelines here: https://www.uaf.edu/universityrelations/guidelines/logos/
Want the bear in the UAF logo. The bear can be modified to include design elements. For example, our UAF school of management logo bear has a tie. elsewhere, want graphic element(s) that are familiar as Arctic. A circumpolar map might work well as the Arctic design element. Perhaps graphic elements or graphic scenario can show security and resilience in the Arctic...like a military or rescue scene. Single color blue (UAF blue), and B&W versions for media and letterhead, etc.
Would like professional shapes of public-sector departments and agencies, but does not necessarily have to be typical, as long as it seems overall to look more official and less artistically abstract.
The letters "UAF" and words "Center for Arctic Security and Resilience" must be part of this. UAF should be balanced or a little more prominent. Perhaps "if" a circumpolar map is used, a location pin at Fairbanks, Alaska could be used with the letters "UAF", might be too small though.
Attached is a current logo for our academic program as an example of what exists and perhaps inspiration.
