Check out the logo for Yelp (yelp.com)... I think this design style and aesthetic would lend itself well to Twirlia.

Everybody considering to design "spiral" logo should take a look at this:

I think the key word in that url is "critique", chances are the person behind that article has never designed a logo in his/her life and to be fair there are alot of good and successful logos in there.

Actually, the point of my comment was that it's always good to check out existing logos before you submit design somebody is already using.

And to sustain LogoFreek, actually Altec Lansing's most problem with their identity was the swirl / spiral logo, so decided to change their dominant image this year.

It's true, a bit overdone with the spirals but let's focus on that the - having in mind that the company name is twirlia and find anything better than those bubbles on 1st place or the spiral itself ;)

I'd like to thank all the amazingly talented designers who have submitted such creative, diverse and interesting logos thus far.

We're only 6 hours from the end of the contest and I've narrowed down almost 200 entries to about 10 that I really like. Anybody that is thinking of submitting in the final hours to beat out the current top logos: I've come to the conclusion that the icon should evoke a strong brand and be easy to remember. The fonts in the top 2 are very effective. All in all, a modern 2.0 look and a simple but memorable icon will do Twirlia's logo the most justice.

Again, every one of you deserves praise and many thanks for taking the time to participate in this contest. Keep up the great work and best of luck!!!
