I like where you're going with the name in the two different colors and with the green, however the font itself seems too "computery" for lack of a better term. Like it would go more with a tech site. I mean to clarify in the notes and I forgot (my fault) that I wanted to avoid anything that might be considered cliche like the hand horns, skulls, or wings. That being said, I was also going to say if they can be implemented in a way that still makes them look good, I could go with them. I never envisioned wings, but I kinda like what you did with them. The hand horns, similarly to the text itself, looks a little too "tech-ish."
I'm sorry I'm not better with words, but does that make any sense? I can re-attempt to clarify if need-be.
(#7) I like where you're going with the beakers rather than the wings. My suggestion/vision for beakers would be something much simpler though, without all the finer detail of the notes and such coming out. Really just the glass themselves with the half-filled fluid (or maybe even a little more) would be good. (And maybe "close the lid" if there's nothing there coming out of it.) If you could do that, and put it to the left of the text, it may be just about exactly what we're looking for. As for the font, we want something much more simple and hardly styled at all. Something that is easily readable even at a small size, with maybe just the teensiest bit of styling. When I first looked at your profile/portfolio, the ones I liked best were the simpler ones for Signs&More, Westside, and Cookum. As far as styling the font, I wouldn't go any farther than like what you did for livegood and serverfarm (both on the front page of your portfolio). I really liked how those were styled ever-so-slightly but were still plainly and easily readable.
(#11) Yeah! I like where that one is going. I noticed the point where the liquid stops and the tops of the beakers is a little fuzzier than your previous iterations. Is that just because of it being like an example? Also, the TUNE vs. LAB is a little bit much of a contrast of light and dark. Is it possible to make the green (TUNE) a little deeper green like http://www.tunelab.com/images/blue/front.gif (and have the liquid match it), and maybe make the LAB a darker green to take the contrast down a bit? Or maybe with the deeper green in TUNE the black might be ok.... I'm not sure.
It's closer. That's more of a forest green I think. The one we have now is a little more "neon" if you know what I mean. Just a little more vibrant. Thanks very much for your quick turnaround and being flexible. I won't be able to update as often, but will at least try to check in at least every couple hours over the weekend.
(#41) I don't really like the idea of the triangle so much just because it looks like a warning sign, but of those, I liked #41 the best. I also would like the T and the L to be capitalized in TuneLab Music if lower case is used.
I didn't like the striped pattern in #50 #52 and #53.
(#51) I don't really like the E and L connected, but the overall concept is alright.
Thanks for submitting so many entries. I'm really kinda overwhelmed by all of them!
#65 is beautiful! I love the guitar pick-ish logo on the left, and the alignment of the TL in it. Please don't change that overall concept! The colors though.... I'd be interested to see some variations. I also like the font... however I'd like to see the "ab" holes filled in black like the rest. The first thing that jumped out at me were those two letters because of the white, and then I immediately thought "adidas". I went to the adidas site, and sure enough it's the same font. Perhaps if the white wasn't in there that would never have jumped out at all...
ok this is complete BS! He stole the entire concept and the directions you gave to me! and submitted it while i was making changes for you. and he goes to top. thats not right.
look sorry mate but text on a shape aint a hole concept. sorry you feel this way. I DONT COPY! I went as far as I wanted too with the lab I had shapes drawn up but this one worked with the client when I put it up.
I won't get involved with any dispute like that, because I simply pick what I (we) like best. You can always still submit something resembling a pick as well, especially since I told you of that concept prior to these showing up.
