Color Preferences
Currently our site is green (www.tunelab.com), so we'd like to stick with that. However, we want something that can look good in just about any colors. If there's something that doesn't look good in green, it's ok, if it's good enough we'll pick it anyway. Trying to stay away from the cliche black/red.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
You can see what we're working with now at http://www.tunelab.com

The logo says "TuneLab Music", however one that just says "TuneLab" is great too. The optimal would be one that says "TuneLab Music" with the "Music" like it is on the current one now, that could be cut out without affecting the overall logo. Also considering something besides just the word, something scalable that could be an "icon".

Also.... if you use the slogan "Everything Rock" in the logo, it MUST be easily removed. The "Everything Rock" will probably be used on t-shirts and other stuff, but on the web it will strictly be "TuneLab" or "TuneLab Music".

Something I forgot to mention in the contest brief: I want to try and avoid the rock music "cliches" of the horns made from hands, skulls, etc. If it is well-implemented though, we'll go with it. But it would have to really standout. My apologies for not remembering to post that earlier. We're a modern/active rock site mostly, not so much metal or hardcore, so that kinda eliminates the skull, unless it's done in a less "serious" or "we're so hardcore" manner. The horns could work, but again it's hard to make it original while still looking good.

Also another note: please maintain the word "TuneLab" as if it were one word, and please maintain the capitalization, unless it's all-caps (like all the entries so far have been).

Some great submissions thus far! I will do my best to update rankings and such every couple of hours over the weekend (when not sleeping) and will be back to regular, fast updates on Monday.

Thanks again for your contributions so far! For those that haven't jumped in yet, don't feel like you have to be stuck with one "theme" or another (i.e. beakers), be creative!

I'd also like to point out one other thing to the designers.... Most of the entries (with the exception of a few) as of 4 days, 1 hour left are "web 2.0" or very vibrant. If you'll notice, the site is not. If we choose one of the more "modern" designs we'll have to redo the site to suit it. In other words, they can't just be dropped in as-is. We'd also like to see some designs that could be dropped right into the site with no other changes necessary.
