Our Ideas & Additional Information
I have one idea but I am not sure if it would be best as a design element for the website or if it should be incorporated into the logo. Since we are TREAD Threads, I thought we could use tire tracks from road, cx and or mountain bikes and foot prints of running shoes. I do not want any designs that are based on stick figures or other "icons" of runners or bicyclists.

#4 I like this concept. I would like to see some color variations. This version is cool in earth tones, but I think my customer base is only 10-15% mountain bikers and/or trail runners. Since we are run and bike, Maybe we can have a foot print on the T-shirt as well.

#1, #2, #3 & #9 I like the new color options. I'd like to see a couple of two-tone color variations, one with bright primary colors. We have a mountain bike tire and a running shoe company. I wonder what a road tire (skinny and slick) would look like in the design. Cyclocross tire? In the bike category, our business is 80% or more Road Biking. But a slick tire might not be as iconic or easily recognized. I have added two images to the brief that show a typical road bike tire and one of a cyclocross tire. Basically a cyclo-cross tire is like a Mountain Bike Tire but narrower. I also found a vector file of bike treads. Not that I want to lock myself into those, you guys probably have better stuff or can create better stuff, but just a reference.

#5, #6, #7 & #8 This is a pretty cool direction too. I like the abstract V that is representative of treads, whether it be bike tires or running shoes. Even the "A" looks tread-like. Pretty cool. #7 is uber-cool concept, but my concern on that is readability. #8 looks like it might be more automotive related or at least bike only. I wonder what it would look like if the V elements were flipped an used as the "A" in Tread, and maybe in Threads as well.

#8 I still like this side by side structure. I guess in the end I could use it either way. Can I see that version with just one tire track and one foot print? Logo Tournament Rocks!

Still hoping to see some new ideas.

A lot of the tread patterns that are being used look like hiking boots and really big mountain bike tires. Also, I see a lot of earth tones. I need the foot prints to be more authentic modern running shoes and I'd like to see designs in some bold colors. The entires so far have been leaning toward off-road stuff, but most of our customers run and cycle on road. Look at a pair of running shoes. Their treads are bright colors. The footprints don't have to be black and white or brown like mud.

What a fantastic service. It was really hard to make the final selection. The quality of the designs were beyond my expectations. Thanks so much to all who participated. I will be back for more designs and have already recommended Logo Tournament to several people.
