Hi MayFlower Thanks for your entries - your use of the Tartan is great and looks really good. Not so sure about the heart though. Whilst we could use it to represent 'passion for excellence etc' it's on the feminine side and we want a neutral logo. Could you have a think about other Scottish symbols etc that you could apply the Tartan to and that would represent excellence, continuous improvement etc. Also, the lettering is a bit heavy, could you think about a 'softer; font, please. However, the circle in your design is good and could be kept. You put in another 3 entries that only showed as 'Withdrawn'. Is that right or has something gone wrong with the system? Thanks John
Thanks for the feedback! I'll think of something else Scottish. May be you have any suggestions? It would be great then. I put heart symbol to represent love to Scottland, like in "I love NY" brand, agree it a little bit feminine though. Withdrawn entries - I removed them (logos was not centered there - that's why, system is okay) I'll post revisions ASAP! Thank you!
Hi MayFlower. Some further thoughts. Multiple colours (as many tartans have) will make printing expensive. Could you look at using various shades of purple with perhaps white stripes in a tartan design. Your 'circle of excellence' could be in gold around a tartan sybol (now I don't know if I'm making sense).
As to Scottish symbols, animals (e.g stag), birds (golden eagle, osprey), heather, claymore (a large sword). also on the main page I have put a website link -http://www.vanishingtattoo.com/tattoos_designs_symbols_scottish.htm - which may give more ideas. Thanks for your efforts - I like your style.
Hi MayFlower That's clever use of the map and #46 must have taken ages to put together. However, i think they are a bit too complex and fussy and I'm not sure if they would be flexible enough for some of the things we want the logo for. The castle #45 looks good but is a bit too hard as a concept - the opposite of the heart in fact. The gold circle and the lettering work well though. Could any of the other symbols you have found work in that setting?
