Hi, nice to see a Scottish project on here, being from Scotland (Glasgow) myself. I've created a tick design contained within a very stylized and modern icon. I've kept away from making it look like it's a political emblem by making the shapes dynamic and slick (So it looks nothing like the Scottish Governement logo) - it's a world recognized icon of Scotland, so from a tourism point of view, it's instantly Scottish. I've partnered it with a traditional style Scottish font to add the traditional look to the logo. So it's a great balance between modern and traditional Scotland. The tick represents the excellence aspect, but the shape as a whole has a star effect to it - again adding to the specialness of the award - it's a star achievement. Hi BMF. Glad to have a Scottish designer helping us. A clever logo and I like your 'finger on the political pulse' explanation of it. You've addressed all the points we specified. I wonder how it would look in gold and with the lettering closer in so that there is a better shape for use as a badge, emblem etc? Thanks for your efforts. Regards John
