Color Preferences
Our primary color is blue, but not yet a specific blue. Silver or black might go well, possibly white.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Definitely no Brandenburg Gate or TV Tower, and no German flag relation. May or may not be otherwise related to Berlin. We may be going multi-national. We are currently redesigning the website, possibly to look something like this: http://www.shape5.com/demo/index.php?corporate_response/ I'm also a fan of the Australia.com tourism website, though the Ritz Carlton website is more in the direction we want to go.

I think the world clock is going to be closer to http://www.berlincitytours.com/ than we want to be. I like the style of the second one though. Would like to go cleaner on the font. Also like the family feel of the bears, but it's a bit fluffy and as a coat of arms, a bit militant. i think the small text might be better left off.

I like the cube thing that has been done in 3rd rank here at the moment, and the colors of the top choices. I would like a bit more complex, I think... going forward.

clever thinking with the Ampelman, Yulia. He's pretty painstakingly copyrighted though. probably better to steer clear.

Hi all,

"The general rule is that, if a Designer was the first to submit the idea, they essentially own that concept or idea for the remainder of the contest."

Having looked around a bit more I think the orange and blue scheme, while it looks nice, is played out. What I liked about the cube idea ("Requests or ideas you have put in your contest Brief are fair game and open to everyone.") is that it reminds me of a building I like here in Berlin - google "Otto Bock Berlin." I could take or leave the TGB - not sure. I would love to see some more abstract marks. In either case I like the look of "Tour Guides" on top of "Berlin" with lines to the width of the text above. I like the clean fonts and the mark being centered above the text. I might like to see some options with more color. Thanks for the entries!

A "TGB" / "Guiding Solutions" might also be nice.

...also like the look of lowercase letters in some other logos.

I uploaded a picture of the oldest known seal of Berlin. Please try to use the buildings, "heart", and bird. I love this seal and haven't seen it anywhere other than where I found this particular one.

I like using the city from the seal a lot. I would like it to be it's own outline - no compass (unless it's creatively worked in), and certainly no badge (highly allergic to police). The eagle is going to have to be left out or be more abstract. Too distinctly Prussian. With it, the heart-type shape around it has to stay to soften it, but probably better to keep it simple in form. I do like the heart(ish shape).

I would like to try green as a secondary color, a little like the Starbucks(r) logo maybe.

Really like what we're seeing with the use of the seal's components. The green and brown look very nice. I would like to see a couple of the top new designs top couple switching back to blue. The color is going to be a tough call.

Also, the cityscape feels a bit bold and dark... would like to see it opened up a bit in the manner of the Ritz Carlton logo (top center on their page). I like the way theirs feels like a fine piece of jewelry. I like the idea of growth possibly integrating a tree shape if it fits the design. Nice work all around!

A few things:

1. I like the balls above the roof peaks in the original seal and would like to keep them round.
2. I would like to separate the 5 rooftops into the middle 3 sitting into a representation of Oberbaumbrücke. It's a bridge you can find plenty of pics of with google images. I would like the area underneath opened with the more modern opening and the outside towers to have some of the shape and detail elements of the bridge.
3. No shadows or fades.

Also I like the softness of the shapes in the seal, the windows, and the little castle-tops on the buildings with the three lines leading up to the balls on top. The seal doesn't tend to remind me of an angry face like the logos are tending to.

...and we would like to drop the green and go back to blue and silver or black.

Thanks for all the work.

Wouldn't mind seeing the mark part of the logo get bigger/more intricate.
