Hello, Here's my first entry which emphasizes the penthouse floor from an aspirational point-of-view. However, it could also be interpreted as someone who is already living life at the top. Either way, this captures the essence of what you do. I'll be showing you some iterations on this concept. Your feedback is welcome.
#6 i like because of the graphic and that there is no "W" or "Wilson Group" mentioned. Admittedly, we don't have a name for our business yet, but my instructions say specifically not to brand the W or the Wilson Group. Thank you for reading! I appreciate all of your ideas.
#7 I like because of the bold graphic with the penthouse clearly implied with the color change. I'd like to stay away from the Wilson Group completely.
Hello, thank you for the feedback and rating. I just used Wilson for text purposes since you weren't certain on the name just yet. The type is very easy to change, not a problem.
Do you need suggestions for naming? Words that come to mind: Meridian Capital Living (pun intended) Pinnacle Living Apex Living Vertex Zenith Prime Ascend
Penthouse view of the DC skyline. I like this idea but I feel it isn't translating well as a corporate logo. This may be a visual well suited for the front of a brochure or website. Aren't most penthouse windows large solid panes of glass? Please let me know your thoughts on this one. Thank You
Thanks for all of your input and I also appreciate your comment about changing the language from Wilson Group to something else when we name the site. Good point.
I like the view of the city and the star, but I don't think they specifically capture the penthouse feel the way the building logos do. We're also trying to stay away from anything that's specifically DC as we may end up using this marketing concept in other areas/cities.
I really like the concept of a building at night with the top floor "glowing". I wonder how the "blue bar building" might look with gray bars and a warm yellow bar across the top? I also wonder if the red bar, while it attracts attention, also means "STOP" LOL! Open to your thoughts on that.
One idea I had was to show 3 styles of buildings - a townhouse (3 floors), a more loft style building (a 4 floor box) and a high rise all with gray windows on all floors except the top floor glowing a warm yellow. It may get too busy and destroy the clarity and simplicity of the single building but it might be worth a shot.
I don't think I ever got your updated colors/designs. I still like a lot of them even with the other submissions. I'm wondering if using #14 it might be possible to make the windows a bit "taller" and maybe to show a few less of them vertically? Would that make sense to make it look a little more residential and a little less like an office building?
Per your request, here is the building with gray horizontal lines with the window highlighted in yellow. Please note that type and color can easily be changed in the end. More submissions will follow. Thank you
Jeff, Here's the more cropped in version you wanted. Color is an easy change. Would you rather see color or black and white? Also, if you're leaning towards a certain building perspective/angle and architectural style, please let me know. I was looking at photos of different residential towers and they vary so greatly. I'd like to give you exactly what you're looking for.
Love the color change and choice in #138. Would it be possible to make the yellow act more like actual light - so it glows out a bit on the sides and into the gray stripes that surround it? I think that might look really cool and make it pop a bit more. Thanks...you're very talented!!!!!!!
I read your comment after the contest just ended. That's a great idea about the glow. It can be done but I'm afraid that detail may get lost when you scale the logo down, say on a business card. I usually stay away from gradients when it comes to logo design. Sometimes, you can run into problems when you go to press at the printers if you utilize gradients. However, on the web, it would translate really well. You could even animate the logo for the web so that it glows in subtle, tasteful way, of course!
I just love the simplicity in #138. It was actually my first sketch when I started brainstorming and led to my other designs. Thanks for all your feedback, I appreciate it!
