I am open to the use of colors. It must be usable on black shirts.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Would like the logo to be fairly simple. The current logo is just company name in red letters (see www.whiskyportal.com), and has been that way for more than 10 years. The company has changed over the years from information provider (the portal) to doing tasting events, so a new logo & image is needed.
The logo should be able to fit on the web as well as on merchandise (shirts, bags etc) where it will be embroidered.

#1: I think I would like something more traditional. The letters kind of remind me of heavy metal :-)
Also - for broidering purposes, I believe that the color should stay the same, and not have shades.

Based on the entries so far I have the following comments:
the logo should work on web, mail and clothes (embroidery). The clothes (shirt, poloshirt and/or jacket) will probably be black, and the mail will have a standard white background. The current background on the web is yellow-ish (please see www.whiskyportal.com), but may be changed when the new logo is introduced.

So please choose colours that will work both on black and white (entries #7 and #8 are examples of this - there are many more as you can see).

It may not work at all, but if anyone comes up with a logo that contains a nosing glas or part of it, then it would be interesting (for glasses take a look at http://www.premium-whiskey.de/images/Balvenie%20Whisky%20Nosing%20Glas.jpg or http://www.whiskymagazin.de/wp-content/uploads/glencairn.jpg).

Great entries so far - thanks a lot!

Cool new entries containing glasses - thank you :-)

One detail: We never use ice in the whisky when doing tastings...

I am positively surpriced about the quality of the logos (it's the first time I use this service). So not ranking in the top is not the same as saying the logo is bad. It's hard to rank for me - luckily... :-)

Please don't be offended by all the designs I have put in the "No"-category. I am narrowing it much down now. I guess you can see what I am after now, so new entries are still welcome :-)

In the judging mode, only the current first place designer can submit new revisions. You can temporarily change the ranking order to accept new entries. Thanks
