We are trying to show the impacts of rising sea levels on our island. 2 years ago KimL commented on #160 Hello and congratulations! We really like the logo! Over the weekend we will provide a few comments to refine the design. Thank you! 2 years ago KimL commented on #164 Withdrawn thank you very much! It's great! 2 years ago sculptor commented on #164 Withdrawn I raised the line. 2 years ago KimL commented on #163 Withdrawn Thank you for doing that, I think it's really cool! 2 years ago KimL commented on #163 Withdrawn very close. But I think it should look more like the water moving into the land. the top of the line should be the bottom of the line and butt right against the bottom of the cliffs 2 years ago sculptor commented on #163 Withdrawn Do you mean something like this? 2 years ago KimL commented on #162 Thank you! Can you add the blue line idea to this one just to see if we like it. The concept is to represent sea level rise. So it could be a simple blue line at the shoreline/tideline for now. 2 years ago sculptor commented on #162 I extended wire grass space, added some more vegetation and cottages - also cut the cliff. 2 years ago KimL commented on #160 I like the less saturated. I think this gives us a great idea of what a color version would look like. It would be great to see the black and white one with the latest revisions and the blue line idea. I added these revisions in this morning too.... I would put the dune grass going all the way over to the left to the red line I added (in the other image) so it's not so much cliffs - since the cliffs are only in one of six towns but we have dunes in all towns. I think we still need more vegetation/forest in part of this. It might also be good to have more buildings to the right. We have 3 towns on one part of the island so we're trying to capture towns. We can think of some ways to do that better too.... Thank you! 2 years ago KimL added markup for #158 2 years ago sculptor commented on #160 I'm uploading two versions with color - one more and one with less saturated colors. I still haven't introduced latest revisions but you can tell me if you want me to continue with color. 2 years ago KimL commented on #158 This is looking better! I will send some samples in the next hours. 2 years ago KimL commented on #133 Sounds great! Thank you!! 2 years ago sculptor commented on #133 There's gonna be a lot of changes so it will take some time. I think that I should make B&W version first. Later we can try to add color. 2 years ago KimL commented on #133 One other blue line idea would be to have go across the whole image but be thicker and fade a little bit as it moves inland so it's more like flooding. It might be good for it not to be a straight line but more natural how a tidal line would be..... 2 years ago KimL commented on #133 We really love this design! We have a some key changes we would like to see. The cliff needs to slope down more like a 60 degree angle. (picture found here:https://www.dropbox.com/s/uncmx0pnv60ie2c/Cliffs.jpg?dl=0) Would like to see more beach grass/dune grass. This picture provides an image of the grass -IGNORE the building: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lsfh9kmyjibri5b/winnetu.jpeg?dl=0 We would like to see the ship look more like this one: https://mvmagazine.com/news/2020/06/18/love-little-lady Please add another 1-2 cottages to the right of the existing one, Please add more trees on land especially toward the left and right sides. So there it appears to be 1-2 farms in the middle area. We'd like the whole island to gradually slope down as it goes to the right so the buildings are on low land. Thank you! 2 years ago KimL commented on #133 Thoughts on enhanced features to highlight our commitment to the future are: A. could we maybe have half or 1/3 of the left side of the design be in color? B. Could you move the wind turbine slightly to the left so it is in color too? C. Another idea is to have a thin blue line to represent sea level rise coming over the island (that is what we are trying to protect ourselves from). Again, just on the left side- this can possibly be integrated with comment a. above. We want this to be subtle. D. one other idea is to just have the "future" represented by the wind turbine and to have a tunnel of color (almost like looking through binoculars or a telescope) aiming toward it -color the sky blue, the wind turbine white, the land green and beach orange... feel free to ask for clarifications if this is not making sense. 2 years ago KimL commented on #133 Thank you so much for this great design. We really love where this is headed. We have two main areas of comments, which we will provide in two separate comments in here. The first area of enhancement is very detailed components (sea grass, slope of land, more cottages), that is the second comment below. The second area of enhancement should include what is completed in the detailed enhancements. This second area we are struggling with a little. We want to better represent "Committed to our future". See comment below for more detail. Thanks! 2 years ago sculptor commented on #131 Thanks, I got it. I will post shortly. 2 years ago KimL commented on #131 yes! Aquinnah cliffs under lighthouse 2 years ago KimL commented on #131 this looks great!!!! Simple changes - the area under the lighthouse should look like cliffs. https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nps.gov%2Fnr%2Ftravel%2Fmaritime%2Fbuildings%2Fgay1.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nps.gov%2Fnr%2Ftravel%2Fmaritime%2Fgay.htm&tbnid=--1q0rcKFFczYM&vet=12ahUKEwj-25-z2c31AhUBgXIEHcx_Dd4QMyg4egQIARBF..i&docid=xHSUBiOoXPIuKM&w=250&h=167&itg=1&q=gay%20head%20lighthouse&client=safari&ved=2ahUKEwj-25-z2c31AhUBgXIEHcx_Dd4QMyg4egQIARBF 2 years ago sculptor commented on #91 Withdrawn Thanks for the feedback. I guess I can try it but I have a gut feeling that it will be too busy for you to make a logo. 2 years ago KimL commented on #91 Withdrawn https://www.trulia.com/pictures/thumbs_5/zillowstatic/fp/81ea8ba0409030bd98d2ee60614a017b-full.jpg 2 years ago KimL commented on #91 Withdrawn We like the direction we are headed in here, but would also like to see an image looking from the ocean towards the island. Gay head lighthouse on the left, rolling farm land with a wind turbine on the horizon (Allen Farm), and cottage (oak Bluffs) structure on the right. with a fishing boat in the foreground. Simple - maybe a line drawing style.... here is an example of a cottage https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wesleyan_Grove#/media/File:OakBluffs2.jpg 2 years ago
